Position Overview

Polaris Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic team. This full-time position offers the unique opportunity to work remotely while providing essential mental health services within school environments. You will play a pivotal role in addressing the mental health needs of students, ensuring that every child receives the care and support they deserve.

Work Environment

This position allows for a remote work setting, ideal for professionals who value flexibility while making impactful contributions to students' mental health. Our working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional evening or weekend hours as needed to align with client availability and urgent support requirements.

  • Provide direct clinical services to assigned clients, delivering therapy and support to individuals coping with major mental illnesses or severe emotional disturbances.
  • Engage proactively as a collaborative team member, working towards shared goals focused on enhancing student mental health and overall community welfare.
  • Respectfully interact with diverse individuals, honoring their unique backgrounds, traditions, and interpersonal styles while providing care.
  • Navigate effectively through the organizational and financial frameworks of Polaris Behavioral Health Center and partnering external systems, ensuring compliance and quality standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary client population consists of school-aged children facing various challenges related to mental health. You will be instrumental in identifying and addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, learning disabilities, and behavioral challenges. Your work will enable students to achieve better educational outcomes and improve their overall well-being.

Qualifications
  • A valid LCSW license in the state of New York.
  • Strong knowledge of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment methodologies pertinent to child and adolescent mental health.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with clients, families, and educational staff.
  • Robust organizational and planning abilities to manage caseloads and documentation effectively.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting is preferred, especially working with children and adolescents.
  • Experience in a school-based setting is highly advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 85,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, new hires may be eligible for a sign-on bonus. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
