Since 2000, we've partnered with leading brands like Uber for Business, Ibotta, Black Forest Labs, and Waabi to support their communications and marketing efforts through messaging and positioning, media relations, executive thought leadership, content marketing, social media, and creative.
About the opportunity:
LaunchSquad is looking for a Content Writer to join our Content Studio. The Content Studio is our in-house team of editorial, content marketing, paid strategy, and creative experts who develop the original content at the center of our integrated communications and content marketing programs. We're looking for a talented Content Writer who loves writing, has strong editorial instincts, and knows how to turn complex ideas into clear, compelling stories. This is a hands-on production role for someone who wants to build their craft through information gathering, interviewing, writing, and editing across a wide range of formats and technology topics.
The Content Writer will be a dedicated writer across four client teams, partnering with public relations and content marketing colleagues to support integrated communications programs. They will sit within our Content Studio and report to a senior editorial lead. The Content Writer will write and edit everything from executive thought leadership posts, articles, and industry reports to landing pages, social content, podcast scripts, and video scripts. They'll also identify how a core story should flex and extend across channels, helping clients connect their content strategy to public relations, executive communications, social media, and other distribution and engagement opportunities.
The right candidate for this role is a flexible, proactive, and highly organized writer with demonstrated experience writing and editing for brands or publications, interviewing sources, and developing social or multimedia content. Experience translating complex B2B technology topics such as artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, data, enterprise software, and financial technology into clear, compelling stories is also essential.
LaunchSquad has a flexible, hybrid workplace with offices in San Francisco, New York, Boston, and Chicago. This position is also open to US-based remote employees.

  • Research complex topics and interview executives and subject-matter experts to uncover distinctive ideas and points of view
  • Develop story concepts and editorial angles that align with each client's communications strategy and editorial calendar
  • Plan how stories move across channels-from a lead article or report to social posts, executive content, video, podcasts, and other supporting assets
  • Build and manage editorial calendars, assignments, and project timelines
  • Balance work across four client teams, proactively communicating priorities, deadlines, and potential roadblocks
  • Collaborate with PR, content marketing, social, and creative colleagues to deliver cohesive, integrated communications programs
  • Edit and proofread your work and others' for story, structure, clarity, accuracy, and consistency

Requirements
  • 2-5 years of experience in journalism, content marketing, or communications
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, including an active portfolio of work
  • Strong research and interviewing skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling stories
  • Experience applying sound editorial judgment and paying close attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple, competing projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • A flexible, proactive, and highly organized approach to work and team collaboration
  • Experience optimizing content for LLMs, LinkedIn, and other digital channels is a plus

Benefits

  • Fully covered health, dental, and vision benefits
  • 401(k) matching
  • Generous paid family leave
  • Flexible vacation and rotational Fridays off
  • Sabbatical leave
  • Wellness stipend
  • Flexible, virtual-first work environment
  • In-person team and community gatherings

$58,000 - $75,000 a year
