Job Description

PartsTrader is the leading digital marketplace for automotive parts procurement, serving repair shops, suppliers, and insurance carriers. We are transforming the collision repair ecosystem with innovative technology, data-driven insights, and AI-powered solutions.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Product Manager with deep expertise in Data and AI to drive the development and growth of our data-centric and AI-powered products for the insurance vertical. This role reports directly to the Head of Product and will be responsible for managing a New Zealand-based scrum team and leading onsite discovery efforts for new insurance opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the product strategy for Data & AI solutions in the insurance vertical.
  • Lead the ideation, development, and launch of new data-driven and AI-powered features and products.
  • Manage a New Zealand scrum team, ensuring alignment with product goals and delivery timelines.
  • Lead onsite discovery sessions with insurance carriers and partners to identify new product opportunities and validate concepts.
  • Collaborate with engineering, data science, UX, and business stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities.
  • Develop and prioritize product roadmaps, requirements, and go-to-market plans.
  • Drive adoption and engagement with insurance carriers, leveraging data insights to solve real business problems.
  • Measure product success using KPIs, user feedback, and business outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Evangelize the use of AI and data across the organization and with external partners.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 8 years of product management experience, with a focus on data, analytics, or AI products.
  • Proven track record of launching successful data or AI-powered products, ideally in the insurance or automotive sector.
  • Experience managing distributed or international scrum teams, preferably in New Zealand or similar time zones.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning, data engineering, and analytics platforms.
  • Experience working with insurance carriers or in the insurance technology space is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for onsite discovery and client engagement.
