We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our growing Solid Rocket Motor Engineering Team. The Senior Rocket Engineer will lead and coordinate project planning, resourcing, staffing, progress reporting and troubleshooting across multiple programs. The Senior Project Engineer will ensure project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule and cost across all development phases and will lead customer-facing meetings.

  • Performs engineering design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints.
  • Reviews industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Reviews reports of production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine or address problems.
  • Provides technical support for the engineering process.
  • Designs, implements, and communicates, an operational plan for completing the project. Monitors progress and performance against the project plan.
  • Takes action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays.
  • Identifies, develops, and gathers resources necessary to complete the project.
  • Prepares engineering designs and work specifications.
  • Develops project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Selects materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors.

      • Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience
      • Discipline/Major: Engineering degree required
      • Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

      • Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
      • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Oral and written communication skills. Analytical thinking. Design review. Project engineering. Resource planning. Technical project management. Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) software. Project management software.

      • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
      • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

      Up to 25% travel likely.
      $102,000-$138,000
      Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Companys Gain Sharing Program.
      Employees will receive 11 paid holidays and 120 hours of PTO annually and up to 3 weeks paid family leave.
