A growing energy services company is seeking a Billing & Order-to-Cash Specialist to join its team in Houston. This is not a traditional billing clerk position. We are looking for a professional who can take ownership of the billing process, work closely with operations and finance, and help improve workflow, communication, and overall efficiency across the organization.


This position offers the opportunity to make a visible impact in a growing company while working closely with leadership and key operational teams.


We're looking for a hard working, detail-oriented Fuel, Lubricants, DEF, Freight and Value-Added Services Billing Clerk to join our team in Houston. In this role, you'll be responsible for creating sales orders, tracking deliveries, managing fulfillment, reconciling transactions, processing invoices, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring billing information is completed accurately and on time. The ideal candidate is organized, team-oriented, customer-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities. — This is a remote work position. Experience, work ethic, professional attitude and capabilities are more important than location.


Responsibilities

  • Own the full order to billing and invoicing and reporting process from start to finish.
  • Track and record fuel and related products through our Logistics Management software.
  • Generate accurate daily reports in a timely manner.
  • Create, maintain, and update management reports and Excel spreadsheets where necessary.
  • Communicate with our sales team, fuel suppliers, freight companies and dispatchers to resolve discrepancies and obtain missing information and documents.
  • Respond to emails and provide timely support to internal and external customers.
  • Work across multiple software systems and platforms.
  • Research and resolve open orders, unbilled liabilities, and paperwork discrepancies.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.


Requirements

  • Minimum two years, with three+ years preferred, with administrative, billing, and/or office experience
  • Strong research, problem-solving, and issue-resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional telephone etiquette and customer service skills
  • Intermediate math skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college prefered.
  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the fuel, transportation, supply chain logistics, or related industry.
  • Experience using ERP or transportation logistics management software.
  • Experience with invoicing, billing, financial reconciliation and order processing systems.
