Job description

Hometown NP is seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated team of mental health professionals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting psychiatric evaluations, diagnosing mental health conditions, and developing individualized treatment plans that may include medication management and psychotherapy.

1099 Independent Contractor
Initial evaluations: $120 per completed visit
Follow-up medication management: $ 70 per completed visit
Flexible schedule
Fully remote
No minimum hours
Multi-state licensed PMHNPs encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evaluations to diagnose mental health conditions.
  • Develop, initiate, and manage individualized treatment plans including medication prescribing and psychotherapy.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide integrated care and support for patients.
  • Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans to optimize outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Participate in community outreach and education programs to raise awareness about mental health services.

Requirements
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with specialization as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
  • Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the relevant state.
  • Active DEA registration
  • Have an Active Collaborative Agreement if not in full practice state.
  • Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) by the ANCC or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of experience providing psychiatric care in an outpatient or inpatient setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology, mental health disorders, and evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in mental health care.
