ITA is seeking an Operations Research Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities
Join a growing company supporting Installations Commands across the public sector with analytic, modeling, and simulation capabilities covering predictive, prescriptive, diagnostic, and descriptive analytics methods in order to optimize command performance. A Journeyman Operations Research Analyst uses advanced analytical methods, such as optimization, simulation, data mining, statistical analysis, regression, and mathematical modeling to develop solutions to help organizations operate more efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Design, develop, and apply a variety of mathematical optimization, decision analytics, mathematical and statistical techniques, modeling and simulation, and other analytic methods combined with judgment to solve complex operational and planning challenges
  • Develop mathematical optimization models using linear programming and integer linear programming methods
  • Develop analytical models to support decision-makers
  • Develop analytical algorithms to support software development
  • Perform data analysis
  • Develop simulation models
  • Modify and enhance existing analytic models
  • Implement analytical models using Python
  • Analyze current and planned operations to identify opportunities to improve performance and/or reduce cost
  • Assess operational questions and identify appropriate analytic methods to address them (e.g., optimization, statistical analysis, decision analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, discrete event simulation, etc.)
  • Elicit information and relative preferences from internal and external stakeholders
  • Assess information to assist management with decision making and policy formulation
  • Develop decision briefings and analytical papers to facilitate senior leadership decisions
  • Document analytical methodology, results, conclusions, and recommendations in meaningful summaries, reports, and presentations

Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or Management Science, or a related field
  • 4-10 years of experience in conducting analyses of management and operational problems using Operations Research techniques is required
  • Meet all requirements necessary to obtain a Secret security clearance in accordance with applicable regulations
  • Profeciency using Python

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in development of decision support tools in desktop/cloud environments (local shared drive, SharePoint, cloud)
  • Skilled use of MS Excel with Visual Basic for Applications, Power BI, and other MS Office tools to support collaboration and data visualization with globally-distributed stakeholders
  • Experience using multiple programming languages, including Java, Python, VBA, C++, or C-
  • Expertise with optimization and simulation analyses
  • A Secret security clearance

Pay range for this position is $130-000 - $160,000 annually.
This position has a broad compensation range due to the complexities of government contracting, including contract pricing, labor category requirements, funding parameters, and varying levels of candidate experience and qualifications.
