Manager, BEC Programs (Bookshare Educator Cohort) Position: Manager, BEC Programs Location: Remote Category: Full-Time, Exempt Direct Reports: None Salary Range: $75,000-$85,000/annual Benetech is a nonprofit dedicated to reducing social and economic inequity in partnership with the communities that we serve through software for social good. The Opportunity Manager, BEC Programs, serves as a primary contact with educators, students, adults, and partner organizations K‐12 to Post Secondary, to increase utilization of Benetech's products and services. This role manages strategic outreach initiatives including the Bookshare Educator Cohort, builds capacity within the user ecosystem, and develops professional services that complement our products to grow opportunities for Benetech.

This position requires both strategic vision and operational excellence, balancing long‐term market development with immediate revenue targets (when appropriate) while maintaining our nonprofit mission and values. The Responsibilities Program Management & Operations Manage the operation of the Bookshare Educator Cohort (BEC) to increase engagement with Benetech tools Manage outreach and technical assistance activities with States, districts, and partner organizations serving educators, parents, and students to build capacity and increase utilization of Benetech tools and services Develop and manage regional and national outreach initiatives, aligning activities with company goals and strategic priorities Manage other grants and projects to support organizational objectives Partnership & Stakeholder Management Maintain and strengthen relationships with States, districts, and other key partners Foster collaborative relationships with key Benetech departments and personnel to ensure seamless partner experiences Performance Monitoring & Communication Monitor Bookshare usage in target districts on a monthly and quarterly basis to determine program effectiveness Serve as a liaison with Customer Support, Collection Development, and Product and Engineering teams to communicate and coordinate feedback from district educators and students Work collaboratively with Benetech teams to create content for website, email, and other campaigns Job Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field At least five years of program management, outreach, training, or education experience Experience facilitating small groups, trainings, or seminars Prior teaching experience and/or experience working in a K‐12 school district Strong professional interpersonal skills and demonstrated success in managing professional relationships with partners or customers Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong problem‐solving skills and ability to meet deadlines while handling and prioritizing simultaneous requests Demonstrated competence with office software tools such as Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Slack, or Trello Ability to learn in a fast‐paced environment Passion for expanding equitable access to accessible educational materials Preferred Master's degree in education, social work, communication, or a related field Knowledge of the assistive technology field with emphasis on tools and technology used to provide access to alternative versions of printed material Experience working with students or educators in the Special Education field Knowledge of accessibility standards Travel Obligations Travel for this position is estimated to be 20% on an as needed basis and for company required meetings.
