Job Title: Export Ocean Freight Sales Executive
Company Overview

Our client is a growing global logistics organization delivering international transportation, freight forwarding, customs brokerage, warehousing, and supply chain solutions. The organization is expanding its commercial team and seeking experienced export ocean freight sales professionals capable of generating profitable transportation business and building long term customer relationships.

Position Overview

The Export Ocean Freight Sales Executive is responsible for driving profitable new business growth across international freight forwarding markets. This role focuses on developing and expanding export ocean freight business while leveraging an active customer portfolio and strong industry relationships.

This position manages the full sales lifecycle from prospecting and discovery through solution development, pricing, negotiation, onboarding, and operational handoff.

The ideal candidate brings export ocean freight sales experience, a hunter mentality, and the ability to generate profitable transportation business across international shipping markets. Reefer cargo experience is strongly preferred, though dry cargo backgrounds will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain a revenue generating pipeline within assigned territory
  • Develop new business opportunities across export ocean freight markets
  • Sell international transportation solutions including:
    • Export Ocean Freight
    • Air Freight
    • Customs Brokerage
    • Warehousing
    • International Supply Chain Solutions
  • Leverage an active book of business to generate profitable revenue growth
  • Conduct discovery calls and develop customized logistics solutions
  • Prepare pricing strategies, proposals, and transportation solutions
  • Negotiate agreements and close profitable business opportunities
  • Partner closely with Operations and Account Management teams to ensure successful service execution and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate CRM activity, pipeline visibility, forecasting, and revenue tracking

Requirements
  • 3 to 7+ years of freight forwarding or international logistics sales experience
  • Proven export ocean freight sales experience required
  • Active portable book of business required
  • No restrictive non compete or non solicit limitations impacting customer portability
  • Reefer cargo transportation experience strongly preferred
  • Dry cargo transportation sales experience will also be considered
  • Strong understanding of international forwarding operations and ocean freight processes
  • Hunter mentality with strong prospecting and consultative sales skills
  • Strong CRM discipline, forecasting ability, and pipeline management experience
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating cross functionally
