Job description

Location: Remote - Global Compensation: Open / Competitive based on experience
About Logicstics
Logicstics is a rapidly growing international moving company and freight forwarder specializing in household goods relocations worldwide. We pride ourselves on exceptional customer service, innovative technology, and making international relocations as seamless as possible.
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead and grow our International Moving Division.
This is a senior leadership position for someone who already has significant, hands-on experience in the international moving industry. We are not looking for a general logistics manager who needs to learn international moving.
The successful candidate should already have a firm understanding of how an international moving company operates and be capable of taking significant day-to-day responsibility off ownership.
About the Role
The General Manager will oversee the day-to-day performance of the International Moving Division and take ownership across:
  • Sales
  • Operations
  • Pricing
  • Sales Support
  • Customer Service

You will lead teams, establish accountability, improve processes, develop employees, manage escalations, and ensure the division operates efficiently while continuing to grow.
This is a hands-on leadership position requiring someone who can move comfortably between strategy, people management, operational problem-solving, and execution.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the International Moving Division.
  • Oversee Sales, Operations, Pricing, Sales Support, and Customer Service functions.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and manage remote employees and department leaders.
  • Establish KPIs and performance standards across departments.
  • Hold teams accountable for results and operational execution.
  • Improve sales processes, close rates, workflows, and customer experience.
  • Review pricing strategies and ensure quotes are accurate, competitive, and commercially sound.
  • Coach sales representatives and improve overall sales performance.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement scalable solutions.
  • Handle complex and escalated customer situations professionally.
  • Develop, document, and improve SOPs across the division.
  • Ensure proper coordination between sales, pricing, operations, and customer service.
  • Maintain compliance with international shipping regulations and industry best practices.
  • Work directly with ownership on growth initiatives, technology implementation, hiring, and strategic planning.
  • Take meaningful operational responsibility away from ownership so leadership can focus on broader growth opportunities.

Requirements
Required Industry Experience
Direct international moving experience is non-negotiable.
Candidates must have significant professional experience working specifically within an international moving company or international household goods division.
General freight, transportation, supply chain, or logistics experience without international moving experience will not be sufficient.
Candidates should have extensive knowledge of:
  • International household goods moving
  • International moving operations
  • Ocean freight
  • Air freight
  • Customs procedures
  • International shipping documentation
  • Origin and destination services
  • International moving pricing and quoting
  • Shipment coordination
  • Customer escalations
  • International moving industry standards and processes
Required Leadership Experience
  • Ideally 10+ years of international household goods moving experience.
  • Significant experience managing operations for an international moving company or major international moving division.
  • Proven experience leading teams and developing employees.
  • Experience overseeing multiple functions such as Operations, Sales, Pricing, Sales Support, and Customer Service.
  • Ability to establish KPIs and manage teams against measurable performance expectations.
  • Strong coaching and performance-management capabilities.
  • Experience resolving complex customer and operational escalations.
  • Strong commercial understanding of pricing, profitability, sales performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of computer proficiency.

Experience with CRM, transportation-management, and workflow software is highly preferred.
Experience working with the U.S. international moving market is a strong advantage.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is:
  • An international moving industry veteran who can contribute immediately.
  • A hands-on operator, not someone who only manages from a distance.
  • Comfortable making decisions independently.
  • Commercially minded and understands the relationship between pricing, sales, operations, and profitability.
  • Process-driven and capable of bringing structure to a growing organization.
  • Strong at coaching employees and improving team performance.
  • Comfortable handling difficult customer and operational situations.
  • Accountable and results-oriented.
  • Able to identify problems before they become larger issues.
  • Comfortable working directly with ownership in an entrepreneurial environment.

Benefits
Compensation
Open and based on experience.
Logicstics recognizes that this is a highly specialized and valuable leadership position and is prepared to pay competitively for the right candidate.
Compensation will be evaluated based on the candidate's international moving experience, leadership scope, operational expertise, and ability to take ownership of the division.
What We Offer
  • Competitive base salary
  • Paid vacation and holidays
  • Paid training and onboarding
  • Long-term career growth
  • Significant ownership and influence over the International Moving Division
  • Opportunity to shape processes, teams, technology, and future growth
  • Direct collaboration with company ownership

Important: Due to the specialized nature of this position, only candidates with substantial direct international moving experience will be considered.
