MSP Vendor Management Account Manager
*This is a remote position. Ideally, candidates will be located near Harrisburg, PA or within the Washington, DC/Maryland/Northern Virginia (DMV) area to accommodate occasional travel. Candidates located outside these areas are also welcome to apply.
Position Overview
The MSP Vendor Management Account Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of IT staff augmentation and IT project lifecycle activities within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) and Vendor Management System (VMS) environment supporting government and commercial clients.
The Account Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for daily operations across an assigned portfolio of clients, working closely with hiring managers, vendors, candidates, and other stakeholders. This role requires someone who can effectively screen and present qualified technical candidates and proposals, manage multiple client requirements, and confidently communicate technical needs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and communicate regularly with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Assist with the development and management of client requisitions
  • Screen technical candidates and review vendor proposals against client requirements
  • Present qualified candidates and proposals to clients
  • Facilitate candidate assessments, selections, and onboarding activities
  • Manage funding, performance, and offboarding activities throughout the engagement lifecycle
  • Ensure program activities are performed in accordance with contractual requirements and established processes
  • Build strong client and vendor relationships while identifying opportunities to increase program utilization and support account growth

Requirements
  • 2-4 years of experience delivering services within a staffing, managed services, vendor management, recruiting, or similar client-facing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of current technologies and emerging technology trends
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical requirements to non-technical audiences
  • Strong client-facing and relationship-management skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have
  • Experience supporting government clients
  • Experience working with a Vendor Management System (VMS)
  • Experience supporting MSP or IT staff augmentation programs
