Job description

The SAP Data Migration Leader is responsible for leading NTT DATA Business Solutions' data migration services across SAP-enabled transformation programs, with primary emphasis on SAP S/4HANA, SAP clean core, and integrated enterprise data platforms. This role is responsible for the delivery model, governance, and client relationship for data migration services. This requires a delivery leader that will help shape the market-facing data migration services portfolio, and ensure delivery teams execute with the appropriate SAP methods, tools, controls, and accelerators.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the end-to-end data migration workstream for SAP-enabled transformation programs
  • Partner with sales, solutioning, practice leadership, project executives, and delivery teams
  • Develop strong client relationships and identify opportunities for follow-on work, expanded services, or portfolio growth
  • Advise and guide clients through SAP migration strategy decision
  • Lead client workshops, executive discussions, and delivery governance forums related to SAP data migration strategy
  • Connect migration strategy to broader information lifecycle management, compliance, reporting, analytics, and operational data needs
  • Define migration scope, confirm approach, identify risks, and establish clear ownership across data rationalization, extraction, profiling, cleansing, transformation, staging, loading, validation, reconciliation, cutover, and hypercare
  • Lead SAP data migration workstreams across SAP S/4HANA implementations, conversions, selective transitions, or broader ERP transformation programs
  • Guide conceptual and logical data modeling
  • Establish migration quality controls
  • Support integrated program plans, RAID management, status reporting, executive steering committees, and delivery quality reviews
  • Responsible for data modeling, transformation design, data quality, governance, and reconciliation
  • Bring practical delivery leadership and SAP-specific migration expertise
  • Build and mentor data migration teams
  • Collaborate with offshore, nearshore, and partner delivery teams to scale capacity while maintaining delivery accountability and client confidence
  • Support internal practice development

Qualifications:
Required
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years of consulting, systems integration, ERP transformation, data migration, data management, data architecture, or enterprise technology delivery experience, including experience across master data, transactional data, open items, balances, and historical data scenarios.
  • Expert knowledge of SAP migration tools and methods; experience with enterprise data migration and data management platforms supporting SAP S/4HANA migration.
  • SAP-related delivery experience, preferably including SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
  • Leadership experience in a role managing data migration, data conversion, data quality, master data, data architecture, or related workstreams.
  • Familiarity with SAP clean core principles.
  • Understanding of SAP functional domains such as finance, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, plan-to-produce, record-to-report, supply chain, and master data.
  • Proven ability to contribute to sales pursuits, proposal development, solution estimates, delivery models, and practice development.
  • Ability to lead executive-level client conversations, facilitate cross-functional workshops, align business and technical stakeholders, manage risks and dependencies, and lead blended onshore, nearshore, offshore, subcontractor, and partner teams.

  • Advanced degree or relevant SAP, data management, project management, data architecture, cloud, or data engineering certifications preferred.
