Their responsibilities include managing lawsuits, drafting legal documents, advising on risk mitigation, and sometimes representing the company in court or settlement negotiations. By working remotely, they leverage technology to collaborate with internal teams and outside counsel while maintaining flexibility and efficiency. This role is especially common in companies that operate on a national or global scale and want to attract legal talent regardless of geographic location.

Job description

Job Description:
WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO:
Radiology Partners, through its owned and affiliated practices, is a leading radiology practice in the U.S., serving hospitals and other healthcare facilities across the nation. As a physician-led and physician-owned practice, our mission is to transform radiology by innovating across clinical value, technology, service, and economics, while elevating the role of radiology and radiologists in healthcare. Using a proven healthcare services model, Radiology Partners provides consistent, high-quality care to patients, while delivering enhanced value to the hospitals, clinics, imaging centers and referring physicians we serve.
Radiology Partners, Inc. is seeking a versatile, litigation-minded attorney to join its in-house legal team, supporting a broad range of litigation matters and practice operations across the organization, including commercial litigation, labor and employment matters, and other operational legal needs as they arise. This attorney will work closely with and provide direct support to the lead attorneys of Labor & Employment and Commercial Litigation, helping manage disputes, investigations, and litigation involving physicians, employees, vendors, and business partners, while also assisting with day-to-day legal support for practice operations across the business.
This is a generalist litigation role suited to an attorney who is comfortable moving between subject areas, adapting quickly to new matters, and providing practical, business-minded counsel under time pressure.
CORPORATE COUNSEL, EMPLOYMENT & LITIGATION - POSITION SUMMARY:
  • Provide day-to-day legal support on labor and employment matters, including terminations, leave and accommodation issues, discrimination and harassment complaints, wage and hour questions, and related workplace investigations.
  • Support and help manage employment-related litigation and administrative proceedings (e.g., EEOC/state agency charges, arbitrations, and court proceedings), including coordination with outside counsel.
  • Support commercial litigation matters across the business, including contract disputes, vendor disputes, and other business litigation, working alongside outside counsel as needed.
  • Assist with internal investigations, including gathering facts, interviewing witnesses, and helping shape appropriate resolutions.
  • Draft and review demand letters, litigation holds, position statements, and related correspondence.
  • Partner with HR, compliance, and business stakeholders to identify and mitigate legal and litigation risk proactively.
  • Help manage and coordinate outside counsel engagements to ensure efficient, cost-effective handling of disputes and litigation.
  • Assist in developing internal processes, templates, and training materials related to employment compliance and litigation readiness.
  • Support the Legal Department with other litigation, dispute resolution, or general legal matters as assigned.
  • Up to 25% travel.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
  • 5+ years of relevant legal experience, with a combination of law firm and/or in-house experience, and a demonstrated focus on labor and employment and/or commercial litigation.
  • Demonstrated experience handling or supporting:
    • Employment disputes, investigations, and litigation
    • Commercial litigation and dispute resolution
    • Administrative proceedings before employment-related agencies (e.g., EEOC, state labor/civil rights agencies)
  • Strong practical judgment and the ability to move efficiently between different legal subject areas and matter types.
  • Comfortable managing multiple active matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working directly with HR, business stakeholders, and outside counsel.
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, practical guidance.
  • Strong organizational skills and sound judgment regarding when to escalate.
  • A collaborative, roll-up-your-sleeves approach - willing and able to pitch in wherever needed across the litigation and employment docket.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel); experience with litigation management or e-discovery tools is a plus.

WHY RADIOLOGY PARTNERS:
  • Competitive Benefits package - Eligibility starts the month after hire, with tiered options to choose from.
  • Compensation Reviews, Career Growth Opportunities
  • Flexible Remote Schedules - Nashville, TN Preferred
  • Generous PTO Plans and Paid Holidays
  • Proudly Certified as a Great Place to Work for Five Consecutive Years

COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this position is $123,000 - $192,000.
