Job description

Job Summary:
This role is responsible for service ownership and continuous improvement of macOS and Ubuntu services, including system management, platform engineering, and fourth-level support; will lead the resolution of complex technical issues; will drive enhancements that improve scalability, security, and the overall end user experience in an expanding enterprise environment.
Responsibilities:
• Enhance the overall end user experience for macOS in an Agile environment in collaboration with engineering, operations, security, and support teams to deliver a secure, scalable, and supportable endpoint service.
• Own and improve macOS endpoint management workflows and platform configurations, including enrollment, provisioning, configuration, security, patching, inventory, application packaging, software distribution, reporting, and compliance enforcement.
• Support endpoint security and compliance initiatives by implementing required controls, monitoring device posture, and assisting with incident response and remediation activities.
• Provide Level 4 support and lead technical resolution of complex incidents involving macOS devices, application deployments, endpoint tooling, identity integrations, and security controls.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, operational procedures, and knowledge articles to support macOS endpoint services and related processes.
• Review service health and endpoint reliability metrics, validate policy and configuration changes, and support testing for new applications, tools, and security capabilities.
• Own and support the Ubuntu/Linux endpoint platform, including current-state management and future-state scaling as adoption expands within the enterprise.
• Establish and standardize Ubuntu endpoint management practices, including provisioning, configuration, patching, security controls, and lifecycle management.
• Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
Qualifications:
• Minimum five years of recent experience engineering and supporting a large macOS estate in a medium-to-large enterprise environment; experience with Linux/Ubuntu administration or support is beneficial.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required; relevant certifications in Jamf, Apple, Microsoft, and Agile products and methodologies are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of macOS, Linux/Ubuntu, Jamf Pro, Microsoft Intune, Apple Business Manager, automated device enrollment, configuration profiles, Entra ID, conditional access, directory services, virtualization platforms such as Citrix and VMware, FileVault, Microsoft 365, browsers such as Safari, Chrome, and Edge, SharePoint, Power BI, Visio, shell scripting, Bash, Python, PowerShell, Jira, and ServiceNow.
• Solid understanding of software lifecycle management, packaging, patching, endpoint compliance, and vulnerability management concepts within a large enterprise environment.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to work with onshore and offshore business units and interact with individuals at all levels of responsibility and authority.
• Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, analytical, and independent judgment skills to support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork. Ability to positively influence, mentor, and serve as a credible source of knowledge to less experienced team members.
