As a Sr. Business People Partner, you will serve as a strategic HR leader supporting both People Partners and business leaders across the organization. This role combines employee relations expertise, talent strategy, leadership coaching, and operational excellence to drive employee engagement, retention, performance, and business results. You’ll partner closely with leaders to develop talent, navigate complex employee situations, and build high-performing teams while ensuring compliance and consistency across the organization.

Location/Schedule
This position is based within the Oklahoma market and includes up to 20% travel throughout the assigned region to provide in-market HR support and partnership to local leaders.
 
What You'll Do in this Role
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and career development support to local and remote People Partners.
  • Partner with business leaders to develop and execute talent strategies that support organizational goals and workforce needs.
  • Coach leaders on employee performance, career development, employee relations, and performance management best practices.
  • Lead investigations and provide guidance on employee relations matters, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Deliver training and development programs for leaders and team members while supporting organizational learning initiatives.
  • Analyze workforce trends, exit interview feedback, and engagement data to recommend solutions that improve retention and employee experience.
You’ll be a great fit for this adventure if you have
  • 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including business partnership and employee relations responsibilities.
  • Strong experience coaching leaders on performance management, employee development, conflict resolution, and workplace concerns.
  • Proven ability to partner with business leaders to develop and implement talent strategies that support organizational goals.
  • Experience managing complex employee relations investigations while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Bonus points if you also bring:
  • 5+ years of experience serving as an HR Business Partner or strategic HR leader within a corporate environment.
  • Experience utilizing UKG or similar HRIS platforms to manage employee data and reporting.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $95,000-$105,000 + DOE and Bonus Opportunities
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Maverik considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
