About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Salesforce Administrator to join our team with at least 3 years of experience in Salesforce administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall performance, functionality, and maintenance of the Salesforce platform. The Salesforce Administrator will play a critical role in continuously improving the platform to support our programs and partnerships utilizing Nonprofit, Experience, and Service Clouds. 

This role has the option of: on-site, hybrid, or remote work. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall performance and functionality of the Salesforce platform to support organizational needs including youth development programs, partnerships with community organizations, and grant and fundraising platforms.

  • Develop and maintain custom fields, objects, workflows, and reports that align with our organizational goals and programs.

  • Provide training and support to end-users on Salesforce best practices, including program staff and community partners.

  • Collaborate with program staff and community partners to optimize the platform for their needs and to support data sharing and collaboration. Identify and gather requirements from users and stakeholders.

  • Salesforce user management including new user setup/deactivation and managing access and permissions (eg. profiles, permission set groups, public groups, roles, etc.)

  • Maintain data quality through regular data cleansing and validation to ensure accurate reporting and analysis.

  • Document Salesforce customizations including documentation and training materials for end users, as well as technical documentation to support maintenance of systems.

  • Implement new features and functionality based on business requirements to enhance program effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Salesforce releases and features and assess their potential impact on our supported programs and partnerships.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator. Experience with NPSP (Nonprofit success pack), PMM (Program Management Module), and/or Experience Cloud preferred.

  • Salesforce Administrator Certification is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce best practices and functionality in a nonprofit context.

  • Experience performing bulk actions with data, e.g. using Salesforce Data Import Wizard, Data Loader, SQL, or similar.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with diverse stakeholders including program staff, community partners, and IT staff.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment to support program and partnership goals.

  • Strong problem-solving skills to address complex challenges and to identify and implement effective solutions.

  • Ability to communicate with a nontechnical audience.

  • Experience with Tableau and/or PowerBi is preferred.
