The Role

We're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our National Sales team. If you love building influential partnerships, owning your patch like it's your own business, and delivering real growth through relationships, this one's for you.

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in growing Prospa's broker and referral channel across a defined territory. You'll own partner relationships endtoend; attracting, enabling and evolving them to drive sustainable, highquality deal flow.

You'll work closely with statebased BDMs to identify opportunities, build capability across partners and cement Prospa as the lender of choice within your region.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Identify, engage and onboard new broker and referral partners within your territory
  • Build and execute a strategic territory plan to achieve referral volume and revenue targets
  • Motivate, train and enable partners to succeed with Prospa
  • Present Prospa's value proposition confidently across diverse SME industries
  • Grow and evolve partnerships by articulating clear mutual value and longterm opportunity
  • Maintain strong sales discipline, CRM accuracy and pipeline reporting
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to unlock growth opportunities
  • Champion bestpractice sales and marketing execution across the channel
  • Actively contribute to a highenergy, highperformance national sales culture

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years' experience in channel or partner sales
  • Proven success managing a defined territory and key referral accounts
  • Strong experience identifying and winning new referral partnerships
  • Exposure to the finance broker market (highly regarded)
  • Exceptional relationshipbuilding and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Commercial acumen with a deep understanding of SME customer drivers
  • Confidence handling objections and coaching others to do the same
  • Clear, persuasive communication-written and verbal
  • A natural ability to be seen as a trusted partner, not just a salesperson
