DesignGroup has a growing healthcare practice. We're seeking a remote Healthcare Planner who's a “thought leader”. 
Note: This role requires frequent travel to Ohio. Candidates within a 3 hour drive of Columbus, OH are HIGHLY encouraged to apply.

In this role you'll provided leadership (both client and internal DG team) and design direction for all aspects of planning, design and documentation for healthcare projects with focus on Facility Programming and Master Planning, and Schematic Design phases.

As a "Thought Leader” in the firm, you'll partner with other planners and designers at DG to understand and apply industry best practice and leading-edge trends to create/maintain competitive advantage.

You'll also act as an Account Manager responsible for ongoing customer relations with select customers during times of project work and times when no projects are being performed.

Education and/or Experience

  • Registered Architect highly preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in and commitment to healthcare programming/planning/design with a demonstrated ability to develop facility programs and designs in compliance with client needs and industry best practice.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • ACHA, LEED AP, and EDAC preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead a project and perform the necessary work from the master plan phase through design development
  • Perform all aspects of facility programming/planning
  • Existing conditions assessment/engineer coordination.
  • Zoning and building code research and assessment.
  • Service line volume assessment and translation into a Functional and Space Program.
  • Stakeholder interviews.
  • Master plan option development including phasing.
  • Written and graphic documentation to communicate master plan concepts both independently and in support of other planning staff.
  • Schematic plan development based on healthcare specific design and equipment requirements
  • Contribute/influence site design – work coordinated with Landscape Design.
  • Contribute/influence exterior building design – work coordinated with Designer.
  • Contribute/influence building interior – work coordinated with Interior Designer.
  • Lead design input meetings with users/stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing cost estimates and schedules.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining programming, planning, and cost estimating databases, and other standards
