We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales & Design Manager with strong expertise in hardscape and landscape design, familiarity with drainage materials, and the ability to translate client needs into accurate and compelling proposals. This role blends sales acumen, design proficiency, and field expertise to deliver exceptional client experiences and high-quality estimates.


Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Sales

  • Meet with prospective and existing clients in the field to discuss project goals, vision, and budget.
  • Build strong client relationships and guide clients through the design and proposal process.
  • Present design concepts and proposals clearly and professionally.

Design & Estimating

  • Create detailed and accurate landscape and hardscape designs using industry-standard design software.
  • Account for drainage, materials, site conditions, and other functional considerations within designs.
  • Produce timely and competitive estimates and proposals that reflect scope and design intent.

Field Work & Site Analysis

  • Measure properties and project sites in the field to collect accurate dimensions for design and estimating.
  • Perform basic field layout to validate design feasibility and material quantities.
  • Evaluate existing site conditions including grading, drainage, utility locations, and other factors affecting project scope.

Project Management

  • Manage time effectively to meet deadlines for design deliverables and estimates.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (production, project managers, installation crews) to communicate project requirements and expectations.
  • Track project status and follow up with clients as needed throughout the sales and pre-construction process.
Requirements:

Education & Experience

  • Proven experience in landscape and hardscape design, estimating, or related role.
  • Background in using design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Vectorworks, DynaSCAPE, or similar).
  • Comfortable working in the field and interacting directly with clients.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong understanding of landscape materials and drainage systems.
