Job description

Operational Project Manager (Healthcare Provider Preferred)Position Overview

We are seeking a mid-level Operational Project Manager to support a fast-paced Transformation Management Office (TMO) within a growing healthcare environment. This individual will play a key role in driving operational and strategic initiatives across a broad range of business functions, including facilities, HR, security, IT, pharmacy, quality, academic services, and regulatory coordination.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning projects from implementation through execution, thrives in operational environments, and can independently drive initiatives with limited oversight. Healthcare provider experience is strongly preferred, particularly within hospital, clinic, or healthcare system operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute 1-5 concurrent operational projects based on business priorities, capacity, and organizational needs
  • Support hospital, clinic, and healthcare operational startup initiatives, including coordination across multiple business functions
  • Drive process improvement and implementation efforts across operational and administrative departments
  • Coordinate logistics and project activities related to mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and healthcare system integrations
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including HR, Facilities, Security, IT, Pharmacy, Quality, Research, and Department of Health stakeholders
  • Facilitate project tracking, status reporting, documentation, meeting coordination, and follow-up actions
  • Support portfolio-based project intake and prioritization within the Transformation Management Office
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, trackers, presentations, and executive updates
  • Utilize collaboration and productivity tools including Microsoft Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Microsoft Copilot
  • Assist with meeting facilitation, documentation, transcription review, and administrative project coordination activities
Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of project management or operational coordination experience
  • Healthcare provider or hospital system experience preferred
  • Experience supporting operational, transformation, or process improvement initiatives
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Comfortable working independently and executing against defined implementation goals
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Experience with project tracking tools and documentation management
  • PMP certification is not required
Preferred Experience
  • Exposure to healthcare operations, clinic or hospital openings, or healthcare system integrations
  • Experience working within a Transformation Management Office (TMO), PMO, or operational excellence environment
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies and operational workflow optimization
  • Experience supporting executive stakeholders and cross-functional operational teams
Work Environment
  • Full-time remote position
  • Candidates must reside within approximately 2 hours of the organization to accommodate occasional onsite meetings or project needs
