IT Project Manager (Current Operations)

Location: Fully remote, no west coast candidates

Duration: 3 months with possibility of extension

Location: WFH / Remote - Candidate does not need to be onsite for this position

  • 5+ years of strong project management skills, including budgeting, risk assessment, and resource allocation
  • 5+ years of Stakeholder Management with skills in working closely with various stakeholders, understanding their needs, managing their expectations, and maintaining effective communication.
  • 5+ years of risk and resource management in identifying and mitigating risks, managing the project budget, and overseeing project resources to achieve project objectives.

As an IT Project Manager you will play a pivotal role in supporting current environment projects and workloads typically 2-3 concurrent projects. Your responsibilities will focus on supporting current operational and compliance related projects freeing up current resources to focus on a new initiative.

Project management skills will be needed in project planning, execution, and stakeholder management. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless transition while adhering to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. PMBOK knowledge preferred. No formal methodology is required but experience with Waterfall or Agile is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Management:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan that outlines the scope, schedule, budget, and resource requirements for the ERP modernization initiative.
  • Establish a project team, define roles and responsibilities, and create a communication plan.

Budget Management:

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks associated with the migration process.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Implement risk assessment, response, and monitoring mechanisms.

Resource Management:

  • Oversee project resources, including project team members, vendors, and contractors.
  • Ensure the team is appropriately staffed, trained, and motivated to achieve project objectives.

Change Management:

  • Facilitate change across the organization by promoting awareness and gradual adoption of the new Workday system.
  • Address resistance to change and ensure a smooth transition for end-users.

Reporting and Documentation:
