Inventory Manager


Location: Pomona, CA
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Onsite
Reports To: Director of Purchasing


Position Summary


We are seeking an experienced and strategic Inventory Manager to lead inventory operations across our growing organization. This position is based onsite in Pomona, CA and is responsible for managing and optimizing inventory processes companywide across multiple locations and business functions.

Reporting to the Director of Purchasing, this role will oversee inventory accuracy, replenishment strategy, supply flow, warehouse controls, reporting, and inventory-related process improvements to ensure operational efficiency and support production demands. The Inventory Manager will partner closely with Purchasing, Operations, Shop Leadership, and internal stakeholders to create scalable inventory systems and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Essential Responsibilities


Inventory Management & Operations

  • Lead companywide inventory management strategy and daily inventory operations
  • Manage inventory tracking systems to accurately record deliveries, shipments, stock levels, and inventory movement
  • Monitor inventory levels to identify shortages, overstock conditions, and replenishment needs
  • Establish inventory controls and standard operating procedures to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency
  • Coordinate and document inventory receipts, transfers, cycle counts, and adjustments
  • Analyze inventory data and demand trends to support forecasting and operational planning
  • Develop processes to minimize inventory loss and reduce operational waste


Supply Chain & Purchasing Partnership

  • Partner closely with Purchasing to align inventory availability with production and business demands
  • Evaluate supplier performance and inventory trends to support cost-effective purchasing decisions
  • Develop recommendations to improve supply chain efficiency and inventory optimization
  • Support sourcing and replenishment strategies through inventory analytics and reporting


Leadership & Reporting

  • Lead and develop inventory and warehouse personnel where applicable
  • Establish accountability measures and performance expectations across inventory operations
  • Create reporting dashboards and provide regular updates to leadership on inventory levels, shortages, process improvements, and inventory performance
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Shop Management and internal stakeholders to support business goals


Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes, controls, reporting, and operational workflows
  • Support integration and standardization efforts across locations
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Promote company values including Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, and Integrity


Qualifications


Education & Experience

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 5–10 years of inventory management experience required
  • Experience within manufacturing, fabrication, construction, HVAC, or industrial environments strongly preferred
  • Experience managing inventory across multiple locations or business units preferred
  • Demonstrated success implementing inventory controls and process improvements
