Job description

Remote B2B Sales Representative — Agricultural Software

Commission Only | Independent Sales Partner | Uncapped Earnings

About GrowerOS

GrowerOS is an operations-management platform built specifically for modern farms, produce growers, packing operations, and agricultural employers.

Instead of forcing customers to change their businesses to fit generic software, we learn exactly how each operation works and configure or build GrowerOS around its requirements.

Our team works directly with each customer to understand its labor, payroll, production, inventory, compliance, costing, accounting, and reporting processes. When a customer needs a specialized workflow, report, integration, or mobile tool, we can build it.

GrowerOS currently operates as a web platform, with mobile applications planned for public distribution through the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Learn more at GrowerOS.com.

The opportunity

GrowerOS is looking for experienced, self-motivated sales professionals to introduce our platform to agricultural businesses throughout the United States.

This is a fully remote, commission-only independent sales opportunity. There is no guaranteed salary, hourly wage, or employee benefits.

You will have the flexibility to set your own schedule, prospect within your chosen territory, and develop your own sales methods. You will work with the GrowerOS product and leadership teams when technical discovery, custom scoping, or product demonstrations are needed.

This opportunity is best suited to established independent sales professionals or sales agencies that are comfortable developing their own pipeline and selling consultative B2B solutions.

What makes GrowerOS different

Most farm-management and business software is sold as a fixed product. The customer is expected to modify its processes to fit the software.

GrowerOS takes the opposite approach.

We learn how the customer operates and build the platform around that operation. Customization can include:

  • Customer-specific workflows and approvals
  • Specialized operational dashboards
  • Custom reports and analytics
  • Hourly, piece-rate, and blended-pay rules
  • Production and employee-performance tracking
  • Barcode and scan-station workflows
  • Inventory, lot, and shipment processes
  • Accounting and ERP integrations
  • Mobile workflows for supervisors and field teams
  • Custom modules built for the customer’s operation

Customers are not forced into a long-term subscription commitment. All purchases are documented through the appropriate service or purchase agreement, but customers can choose the payment and ownership model that fits their business.

Available options include:

  • Monthly subscription
  • Rent-to-own
  • Outright software ownership with a smaller ongoing subscription for hosting, security, support, updates, and continued improvements

This flexibility gives representatives multiple ways to structure a solution around the customer’s budget and long-term technology plans.

What you’ll be selling

GrowerOS can bring the following functions into one integrated system:

  • Employees, crews, jobs, and scheduling
  • Timecards and attendance
  • Hourly, piece-rate, and blended compensation
  • Payroll calculations and earnings reporting
  • Production and output tracking
  • Employee and crew performance analytics
  • Inventory and lot management
  • Shipments and traceability
  • FSMA 204 readiness
  • Equipment, fuel, depreciation, and maintenance
  • HR onboarding and employee documents
  • Compliance records and audit exports
  • Overhead allocation and cost intelligence
  • Accounting, budgets, journal entries, and work in progress
  • Customer, contract, revenue, and profitability tracking
  • Custom reports, workflows, integrations, and modules
  • Web, iOS, and Android access

We can also migrate customer information from spreadsheets, PickTrace, payroll platforms, accounting software, ERP systems, and other existing tools.

What you’ll do

  • Identify and prospect produce growers, farms, packing operations, agricultural employers, processors, and related businesses.
  • Build relationships with owners, executives, CFOs, controllers, operations managers, payroll leaders, HR teams, and compliance managers.
  • Generate your own leads through outbound outreach, networking, industry relationships, referrals, and territory development.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand how each prospect currently operates.
  • Identify problems caused by spreadsheets, duplicate data entry, disconnected systems, manual reporting, or inflexible software.
  • Determine what the prospect would want from a system built specifically for its operation.
  • Present GrowerOS and communicate its operational and financial value.
  • Coordinate product demonstrations with the GrowerOS team.
  • Work with our product and engineering teams when custom requirements need to be scoped.
  • Explain monthly, rent-to-own, and ownership purchasing options.
  • Prepare proposals and follow up with decision-makers.
  • Move qualified opportunities through the sales process.
  • Close new customers and coordinate the handoff to implementation.
  • Maintain accurate prospect, activity, and opportunity records.
  • Develop referral relationships within the agriculture industry.
  • Provide feedback that helps improve our product and sales process.

Compensation

This is a commission-only independent sales opportunity with uncapped earnings.

Monthly-subscription customers

  • 25% of eligible collected subscription revenue during the customer’s first 12 months
  • 5% of eligible collected subscription revenue during months 13–36

Examples:

  • A customer paying $999 per month can generate up to $2,997 in first-year commission if the customer remains active and pays for 12 months.
  • A customer paying $1,499 per month can generate up to $4,497 in first-year commission if the customer remains active and pays for 12 months.

Rent-to-own customers

  • 20% of eligible collected rent-to-own payments during the first 12 months
  • 10% of eligible collected rent-to-own payments after month 12 and until ownership transfers
  • 5% of the ongoing updates, support, hosting, and security subscription for the following 24 months

Outright software purchases

  • 15% of the eligible collected core software purchase price
  • 10% of eligible collected custom-development and implementation charges
  • 5% of the updates, support, hosting, and security subscription for the first 36 months

Annual accelerators

For new monthly-subscription revenue personally generated and closed by the representative:

  • First $60,000: 25%
  • Revenue from $60,001 through $120,000: 30%
  • Revenue above $120,000: 35%

Accelerators apply prospectively to revenue within each tier.

Company-provided opportunities

When GrowerOS provides a qualified opportunity and the representative manages and closes the sale, the first-year commission rate is 15% of eligible collected revenue.

Referral-only opportunities

A referral that results in a completed sale but does not require the representative to manage the sales process pays 7.5% of eligible collected first-year revenue.

How commissions are paid

Commissions are based on eligible collected revenue—not merely signed proposals or projected contract value.

A commission becomes payable after:

  • The customer signs the applicable purchase or service agreement.
  • GrowerOS receives cleared customer payment.
  • Any applicable cancellation or refund period expires.
  • The customer payment is not refunded or charged back.

Commissions are calculated monthly and paid by the 15th of the following month.

Eligible collected revenue includes approved software subscriptions, software-purchase payments, rent-to-own payments, implementation charges, custom modules, hosting, updates, and support.

Eligible collected revenue does not include:

  • Sales tax
  • Refunded or disputed payments
  • Chargebacks
  • Travel reimbursements
  • Third-party hardware sold without markup
  • Third-party services passed through without markup
  • Unauthorized discounts
  • Uncollected invoices

All compensation terms will be included in a written independent sales representative agreement.

Qualifications

  • Previous B2B sales, account executive, business development, territory-sales, or outside-sales experience
  • Demonstrated ability to generate your own leads
  • Experience developing and managing a sales pipeline
  • Strong discovery, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Comfortable communicating with business owners and senior decision-makers
  • Able to understand operational problems and connect them to software solutions
  • Comfortable learning and demonstrating business technology
  • Organized and consistent about documenting sales activity
  • Self-motivated and able to work without daily supervision
  • Reliable computer, phone, and internet connection
  • Based in the United States
  • Able to operate as a bona fide independent sales professional or sales business

Preferred experience

Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly valuable:

  • Agriculture, produce growing, harvesting, packing, or food processing
  • AgTech or farm-management software
  • SaaS or enterprise software
  • Custom software or technology consulting
  • Payroll, HR, timekeeping, or workforce management
  • ERP, accounting, inventory, or compliance software
  • Selling to farm owners, CFOs, controllers, operations managers, or HR leaders
  • Existing relationships in agriculture or the produce industry
  • Spanish-language proficiency

Agriculture experience is preferred but not required.

What GrowerOS provides

  • Product and industry training
  • Sales presentations and supporting materials
  • Product demonstration assistance
  • Technical support during customer discovery
  • Custom solution scoping from our product and engineering teams
  • Proposal and pricing support
  • Customer data-migration support
  • Implementation and onboarding support
  • Multiple purchase options that help address budget objections
  • Direct access to GrowerOS leadership
  • Flexible schedule and territory
  • Uncapped commissions
  • Opportunity to grow into territory leadership as GrowerOS expands

GrowerOS does not guarantee leads, appointments, sales volume, or minimum earnings.

Independent relationship

This is an independent, commission-only sales opportunity and is not a salaried or hourly employee position.

Independent representatives:

  • Determine their own schedules and working hours
  • Determine their own prospecting and sales methods
  • Provide their own computer, telephone, internet connection, and other normal business equipment
  • Are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, licensing, and business expenses
  • May provide sales services to other businesses, subject to reasonable confidentiality and conflict-of-interest restrictions
  • Are not eligible for employee benefits
  • Are responsible for maintaining any business registration required in their jurisdiction
  • Will enter into a written independent sales representative agreement with GrowerOS

Schedule and location

  • Location: Fully remote within the United States
  • Schedule: Flexible
  • Travel: Optional unless the representative chooses to develop an in-person territory
  • Position type: Independent contractor
  • Compensation: Commission only
  • Earnings: Uncapped and based entirely on eligible collected customer revenue
