Position: Inventory Coordinator
Location: San Bernardino
Department: Inventory / Operations
Reports To: Inventory Manager or Operations Manager
Classification: Full-Time | Non-Exempt
Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm 
Compensation: $20–$25 per hour DOE


1. Job Summary

The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting production operations through consistent data entry, physical counts, and discrepancy resolution. This role requires a highly detail-oriented individual with strong analytical and computer skills, capable of working both in the office and on the production floor. The ideal candidate will have extensive inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment and a proven ability to identify and resolve variances between system and physical counts.

2. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Inventory Accuracy & Control

  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts on the production floor to verify quantities and accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies between system records and physical stock.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate inventory data in ERP or internal systems.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with cycle counts and reconciliations.

Data Entry & Reporting

  • Perform high-volume, accurate data entry of material movements, adjustments, and transactions.
  • Generate and distribute inventory reports to management as needed.
  • Track and analyze usage trends to identify potential shortages or overstock.
  • Support month-end and year-end inventory reconciliations.

Cross-Department Coordination

  • Communicate with production, purchasing, and shipping departments to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Provide feedback to management on recurring issues or process improvements.
  • Assist in implementing inventory control procedures and maintaining audit readiness.

3. Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory control or inventory coordination (required).
  • Strong knowledge of inventory systems and processes in a manufacturing environment.
  • High proficiency in data entry and Excel or similar spreadsheet software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform physical counts on the production floor.
  • Effective communication and follow-up skills.
  • Experience using ERP or MRP systems preferred.
