Position Overview

Frontier Behavioral & Mental Health Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic and innovative team in Mableton, Georgia. This full-time position will be primarily remote, offering the flexibility to work from home while serving an essential role in our outpatient facility. Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities as a Licensed Professional Counselor will include:

• Conducting patient intakes and performing thorough diagnostic and functional evaluations to determine suitable treatment plans.
• Providing brief, focused therapeutic interventions for patients requiring mental health services, while also making recommendations to primary care providers.
• Monitoring patient progress and following up with clients to assess improvements and adapt treatment strategies as necessary.
• Collaborating with primary care teams to identify patients who may benefit from specialty mental health services, ensuring comprehensive care is coordinated.
• Documenting patient interactions, progress, and other relevant information accurately in treatment charts, while also informing providers about patients' needs and advancements.
• Developing relapse prevention plans and strategies, and aiding patients in managing chronic issues to enhance their quality of life.
• Consulting with clinic management and interdisciplinary team members on behavioral services, contributing to ongoing program evaluation and enhancement.
• Assisting clients in adhering to medical recommendations from primary care providers, including creating strategies to manage medication side effects.
• Upholding the highest ethical standards in your practice and adhering to the Code of Ethical Conduct for Clinical Professionals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will engage with a diverse patient population that includes individuals grappling with various mental health and psychosocial issues. The LPC will be instrumental in providing services to children, adolescents, and adults, predominantly focusing on those who are underserved or at-risk. Understanding the specific needs of this community will enable you to create tailored strategies that foster impactful changes and improved health outcomes.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in Georgia.
• A comprehensive understanding of mental health assessment methods, treatment planning, and various psychotherapeutic techniques, including familiarity with DSM-5 diagnoses.
• The ability to develop strong relationships with patients, their families, and other healthcare providers, ensuring a collaborative treatment approach.
• Excellent record-keeping skills and the ability to communicate ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Preferred Experience

While not required, the following qualifications and experiences are preferred:

• Bi-lingual proficiency in English and Spanish, enabling effective communication with a wider patient demographic.
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary team environment, especially in primary care settings.
• A strong understanding of community resources available for patients and familiarity with local mental health services.

Compensation and Benefits

Frontier Behavioral & Mental Health Clinic offers an attractive salary range of USD 87,000 – 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
