• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to understand each client's unique background and mental health history.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on the assessment outcomes and client goals, utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Provide individual therapy sessions to clients, employing CBT and other therapeutic techniques to address their concerns.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation for all therapy sessions while ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Engage in ongoing treatment planning and adjust approaches as necessary based on client progress and feedback.
• Collaborate with educational institutions when applicable, providing mental health services funded by schools which enhances your ability to focus exclusively on therapy.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and therapeutic techniques.

Our client demographic primarily consists of individuals needing mental health support related to stress, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Many clients are referred from local school systems, which allows therapists the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students and families. As a therapist, you will play an essential role in supporting our clients’ emotional growth and resilience through tailored therapeutic interventions.

• A Master's degree in a relevant field from a regionally accredited university.
• Active licensure in the State of Florida as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), qualifying you to provide unsupervised therapy.
• A minimum of two years of professional experience delivering psychotherapy to adults.
• In-depth knowledge and application of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based practices.
• Demonstrated proficiency in conducting intake assessments, diagnosing mental health conditions, and formulating treatment plans.
• Exceptional documentation and writing skills to record session details and progress.
• A clean disciplinary record with no previous actions taken against you by a licensing board.

• Experience working with school-aged clients is a plus, especially in understanding the nuances of adolescent mental health.
• Training in additional therapeutic modalities or certifications that align with our integrative approach.

Empathy Edge Psychological Services offers a competitive salary range between $70,000 and $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition, we provide a sign-on bonus for new hires and various performance incentives including a referral program. You’ll also have access to a health insurance stipend, helping to cover your health-related expenses, provided certain eligibility criteria are met.
