Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to understand each client's needs, integrating their medical, emotional, and environmental factors into personalized treatment plans.

  • Stay current with developments in mental health research and best practices to provide the most effective and relevant care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on individuals in hospice care, requiring a deep sensitivity to their emotional and psychological needs. You will interact with patients facing terminal illnesses, their families, and caregivers, providing essential support to enhance their quality of life during this profound transition. Understanding the unique trauma and emotional distress associated with end-of-life issues will be key to your success in this role.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Valid LICSW license in the state of Massachusetts.
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in a hospice or similar healthcare environment.
  • Strong proficiency in implementing solution-based psychotherapy interventions and trauma-informed care approaches.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with patients, families, and team members.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex situations and challenges.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment while demonstrating independent initiative.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with diverse populations, especially in palliative or hospice care settings.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and documenting in a telehealth environment.
  • Understanding of the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and families undergoing end-of-life processes.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, our comprehensive benefits package includes:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance to support your health and wellbeing.
  • Life and disability insurance for peace of mind.
  • Malpractice insurance coverage to protect your professional practices.
  • An employee assistance program providing mental health support and resources.
