Remote IT Support Technician (Microsoft 365)

Texas Technology Group

Full-time

This job post has expired 1 day ago. Applications are no longer accepted.

Job description

Our clients run their businesses on Microsoft 365, and they need someone who can keep it running well.

We’re hiring a full-time remote support technician to own day-to-day M365 administration and frontline customer support — someone who knows the admin centers cold, communicates clearly with nontechnical users, and works our processes the same way every time.

About Texas Technology Group

TTG is a managed IT services provider supporting small and mid-sized businesses. We handle their Microsoft 365 environments, endpoints, and day-to-day IT support so they can focus on their work. Our clients count on us to be responsive, professional, and consistent — and that standard starts with the people on our support team.

About the role

Twelve months in, you’ll be the go-to person for everything Microsoft 365 across our client base: managing tenants, resolving user issues on the first touch, keeping documentation current, and helping clients get more value out of the tools they already pay for. You’ll work tickets end-to-end, follow our documented procedures and checklists closely, and communicate proactively so clients never wonder where things stand.

What you’ll do
• Administer client Microsoft 365 tenants — user and license management, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and security settings in Entra ID.

• Serve as the first point of contact for client support requests via phone, email, and remote tools, providing Tier 1/2 troubleshooting for M365, Windows 10/11, and common business applications.

• Use NinjaOne (our RMM platform) for endpoint monitoring, patching, and remote support.

• Manage support tickets from first contact through resolution, with clear documentation at every step and escalation when appropriate.

• Follow established procedures, runbooks, and checklists precisely — and flag gaps so we can improve them.

• Communicate with clients in plain, patient, professional language, keeping them informed until the issue is fully resolved.

What we’re looking for

Required:

• 2+ years providing technical support in an IT services, help desk, or managed services (MSP) environment.

• Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 — admin center, Exchange Online, and user/license management (not just using Office apps).

• Strong Windows 10/11 troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication with non-technical users.

• A process-driven working style: you follow instructions and documented procedures carefully, document your work thoroughly, and ask questions rather than guess.

• Self-managed and dependable in a fully remote role, with reliable high-speed internet and a quiet workspace.

Nice to have:

• Microsoft certifications (MS-900, MS-102, MD-102) or CompTIA A+ / Network+.

• Experience with NinjaOne or another RMM platform (ConnectWise Automate, Datto, N-able).

• Experience with Intune / endpoint management and basic networking (DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi).

• Prior MSP experience supporting multiple client environments.
