LOCATION OF POSITION
411 Dorchester Avenue, Suite 202, Cambridge, MD 21613\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nCambridge, Maryland with occasional\r\ntravel to the Division's satellite office in Baltimore City and the\r\nDepartment's headquarters in Lanham, MD.\r\nDHCD offers a combination "hybrid" in-person/telework work environment. \r\n\r\n
POSITION DUTIES
This Senior Program Officer position supports specialized work in cultural resource management and project management in DHCD's Division of Neighborhood Revitalization. The incumbent is responsible for program development, oversight and implementation of activities for DHCD statewide Main Street program and serves as the primary administrator of the Maryland Folk Festival Residency Program. This position provides technical assistance, project management, grant administration, training, and community capacity-building services to local governments, nonprofit organizations, and Main Street Maryland communities across Maryland.\r\n
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
\r\nEducation: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience: Six years of administrative or professional experience to include three years of financing experience or providing technical assistance for development or rehabilitation of multifamily or single family housing; neighborhood revitalization and business development; community infrastructure development; or historic preservation programs.\r\n\r\n\r\nNotes:\r\n\r\n\r\n1. Candidates may substitute additional administrative or professional experience as defined aboveon a year-for-year basis for the required education.\r\n\r\n\r\n2. Candidates may substitute additional job-related education at a rate of thirty credit hours for each year of experiencefor up to two years of the required experience.\r\n\r\n\r\n3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in business andindustry classification or business and industry specialty codes in the housing management field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.\r\n\r\n\r\n
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
\r\n\r\n\r\n Experience with partnership development and stakeholder\r\n engagement involving community organizations, government agencies, cultural\r\n organizations, artists, vendors, sponsors, and other event partners.\r\n Experience with project and event management, which required the ability to coordinate multiple work streams, deadlines, partners, vendors,\r\n and operational requirements simultaneously.\r\n \r\n Experience working directly with a selected host community\r\n to establish planning processes, strengthen organizational capacity, coordinate\r\n partnerships, and implement festival programs.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.\r\n
