What is remote influencer marketing?

Remote influencer marketing is a strategy where brands collaborate with influencers—individuals who have a significant online following—to promote products or services, all managed virtually rather than in-person. Professionals in this field coordinate campaigns, communicate with influencers, and track results entirely online, making it possible to work from anywhere. This approach leverages digital tools for outreach, project management, and analytics. Remote influencer marketing is popular among companies seeking flexible, cost-effective ways to reach targeted audiences through trusted voices.

What are remote influencer marketing jobs?

Companies often hire outgoing, enthusiastic people to help generate brand awareness and promote their products and services online, in person, or both. These people specialize in influencer marketing, a combination of the influencer’s high profile and reputation on social media and the company’s ability to create and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns. Many influencers work from home, as their responsibilities typically involve engaging with members of the target audience online. As an influencer, your duties might also include participating in company-sponsored events, discussing the company’s products with potential buyers, and generating excitement around new or upcoming offerings. This can be a short term campaign or a long term opportunity.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote influencer marketing specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Influencer Marketing Specialist, you need a solid understanding of digital marketing, social media strategy, and influencer trends, often supported by a degree in marketing or communications. Familiarity with influencer marketing platforms, campaign management tools, and analytics systems like Google Analytics or Hootsuite is typically required. Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills help you coordinate campaigns and forge effective partnerships remotely. These abilities are crucial for building brand awareness, maximizing campaign ROI, and maintaining productive influencer relationships in a virtual environment.

How do remote influencer marketing professionals typically collaborate with influencers and internal teams?

Remote influencer marketing professionals often use digital communication tools like email, video conferencing, and project management platforms to maintain clear and timely collaboration with influencers and internal teams. They coordinate campaign goals, content approvals, and deliverables virtually, ensuring alignment between brand objectives and influencer content. Regular check-ins, shared calendars, and collaborative documents help streamline workflows and foster a supportive team environment, even when working across different time zones.

Job description

Who We Are
Advantage HQ is a tech-enabled growth firm helping leading brands scale profitably and predictably. We combine full-service performance marketing with proprietary technology, including:
  • A creator marketplace managing over 80,000 influencer partnerships monthly
  • An AI-powered platform to streamline creator discovery, outreach, relationship management, and whitelisting
  • Proven playbooks across influencer marketing, paid media, performance creative, and conversion optimization

We partner with over 200 high-growth DTC brands across beauty, wellness, lifestyle, and health. Our team of 185+ operators, analysts, strategists, and creatives manages over $500M in annual media spend and drives meaningful bottom-line impact for our partners.
We believe influencer marketing is becoming the dominant way brands create high-performing advertising.
At Advantage HQ, we don't simply run influencer campaigns-we build creator ecosystems that consistently generate exceptional content, long-term creator partnerships, and measurable business growth.
Our ambition is to build the most valuable creator network in performance marketing, where the world's best creators earn more, produce better content, and build longer-lasting partnerships than anywhere else.
The Role
We are looking for a VP of Influencer Marketing to build and lead one of the strongest creator organizations in the industry.
This is not a campaign management role.
This is a company-building role.
Your mission is to build the creator engine that powers Advantage HQ.
That means expanding one of the industry's highest-quality creator networks, building long-term creator relationships, increasing creator earnings, scaling whitelisting, and ensuring every client has access to exceptional creators capable of producing high-performing content at scale.
You will lead the strategy, systems, technology, and team responsible for every stage of the creator lifecycle-from sourcing and relationship management through campaign execution, creator success, and long-term retention.
You will partner closely with Growth, Creative, Client Services, and Operations to make creator marketing one of the company's greatest competitive advantages.
Success in this role means our creator network becomes increasingly valuable every year-for our clients, our creators, and Advantage HQ.
What You Will Own
Creator Network
  • Build one of the largest and highest-quality performance creator networks in the industry.
  • Continuously expand our global creator ecosystem across key verticals and platforms.
  • Develop long-term relationships with exceptional creators and talent representatives.
  • Build a preferred roster of trusted creators who consistently produce outstanding content.
  • Increase creator quality, diversity, responsiveness, and availability across every client category.
Creator Success
  • Build systems that help creators build long-term careers with Advantage HQ.
  • Increase repeat collaborations and long-term partnerships.
  • Improve creator earnings and lifetime value.
  • Create an exceptional creator experience across onboarding, communication, payments, and campaign execution.
  • Ensure our highest-performing creators consistently choose to work with Advantage HQ.
Performance Influencer Marketing
  • Build repeatable systems that consistently deliver exceptional creators for every client.
  • Scale creator whitelisting across our client portfolio.
  • Partner with Growth and Creative teams to maximize paid media performance.
  • Develop frameworks for identifying creators with the highest long-term advertising potential.
  • Turn creator marketing into a predictable growth engine rather than a campaign-based service.
Influencer Operations
  • Build scalable systems across sourcing, outreach, negotiations, contracting, approvals, production, and reporting.
  • Leverage AI and automation to improve speed, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Continuously improve creator matching, campaign execution, and delivery performance.
  • Establish world-class operating standards across the influencer organization.
Leadership
  • Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing global influencer marketing organization.
  • Build future leaders within the department.
  • Establish clear KPIs, accountability, and operating rhythms.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, speed, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Build an organization capable of supporting the company's next stage of growth.
Innovation
  • Continuously evaluate new platforms, technologies, and creator trends.
  • Leverage AI to improve creator discovery, relationship management, forecasting, and operations.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen Advantage HQ's competitive advantage in creator marketing.
  • Ensure the company remains at the forefront of the creator economy.
What We Are Looking For
  • 8+ years of experience leading influencer marketing, creator partnerships, creator operations, or talent organizations.
  • Proven experience building and scaling high-performing influencer marketing teams.
  • Experience managing large creator ecosystems and long-term creator relationships.
  • Deep understanding of creator economics, whitelisting, licensing, usage rights, and performance marketing.
  • Experience partnering closely with paid media and creative teams to drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience building systems that scale rather than simply managing campaigns.
  • Strong commercial mindset with an understanding of how creator marketing drives profitable growth.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong operator with a bias toward ownership, execution, and continuous improvement.
Ideal Experience
  • Experience managing thousands of creator relationships at scale.
  • Experience leading influencer organizations within high-growth agencies or creator platforms.
  • Experience building creator communities, ambassador programs, or creator marketplaces.
  • Experience leveraging AI and technology to improve influencer operations.
  • Experience leading globally distributed teams.
  • Experience partnering directly with founders and executive leadership teams.
You Will Probably Love This Role If...
  • You believe creator relationships are one of the most valuable assets a company can build.
  • You think in systems rather than campaigns.
  • You enjoy building organizations as much as building strategies.
  • You are obsessed with improving quality, speed, and execution.
  • You love combining technology with human relationships.
  • You thrive in ambitious, fast-moving environments.
  • You enjoy creating competitive advantages that compound over time.
Compensation & Location
  • $250,000-380,000 USD total annual compensation, including base salary, performance bonus, and equity.
  • Fully remote. We have built the infrastructure for high-performance distributed teams and trust our people to do their best work from wherever they work best.
  • North America preferred (United States or Canada).
  • We care far more about leadership, judgment, and execution than geography.

If you're excited about building the world's best performance creator organization and shaping the future of influencer marketing, we'd love to hear from you.
