What is remote incentive compensation management?

Remote incentive compensation management refers to overseeing and administering employee bonus, commission, or performance-based pay plans from a location outside of a traditional office setting, typically using cloud-based tools. Professionals in this role ensure that incentive programs are designed, implemented, and tracked effectively for remote or geographically dispersed teams. Their responsibilities often include analyzing performance data, calculating payouts, ensuring compliance with company policies, and communicating compensation structures clearly to employees. This role is critical for motivating and retaining talent in remote and hybrid work environments.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in remote incentive compensation management?

To thrive in Remote Incentive Compensation Management, you need strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a background in finance, accounting, or business administration. Familiarity with incentive compensation software (such as Xactly or SAP Commissions), advanced Excel skills, and knowledge of CRM and ERP systems are typically required. Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently are standout soft skills in this remote role. These skills ensure the accurate calculation and administration of incentive plans, compliance with company policies, and effective collaboration with distributed teams.

What are common challenges faced in remote incentive compensation management, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals in remote incentive compensation management often face challenges related to effective communication across distributed teams, maintaining data accuracy, and ensuring timely payouts. Since the role involves coordinating with sales, HR, and finance departments, clear processes and regular virtual meetings are crucial for alignment. Utilizing robust compensation management software and establishing strong documentation practices help reduce errors and streamline workflows. Developing proactive communication habits and seeking regular feedback from stakeholders also contribute to overcoming remote work barriers and building trust with team members.

Why Yelp Host

  • Sell AI tech that's already live and driving ROI at thousands of restaurant locations
  • Leverage Yelp's unmatched platform, relationships, and data - advantages no startup can replicate
  • Help shape our enterprise strategy at a pivotal moment, as category leadership is defined
  • Work alongside a senior GTM team that values speed, ownership, and craft

We're scaling quickly and seeking an Enterprise Account Executive to land and expand our largest multi-location restaurant accounts. You'll join a focused GTM team at the intersection of AI and hospitality - driving adoption of a product operators already love and closing deals that define our leadership in the space.

We'd love to have you apply, even if you don't feel you meet every single requirement in this posting. At Yelp, we're looking for great people, not just those who simply check off all the boxes.

What you'll do:
  • You will own the full enterprise sales cycle - from outbound prospecting and inbound qualification to negotiation and close - for multi-location restaurant groups (50-500+ units)
  • You will build and manage a strategic pipeline of franchise groups, restaurant holding companies, and national brands, driving new logo acquisition and expanding existing portfolios
  • You will navigate complex deal structures involving corporate decision-makers, franchisees, technology partners, and POS integrators
  • You will partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to deliver seamless buyer experiences and inform the product roadmap
  • You will develop deep expertise in restaurant operations, voice AI, and the competitive landscape to position Yelp Host's unique advantages
  • You will travel strategically for key onsite meetings, franchise conferences, and major industry events - up to 50%
  • You will consistently exceed quota while building a repeatable enterprise playbook as we scale
What it takes to succeed:
  • You have 6-8+ years in a closing SaaS role, with substantial experience selling to multi-location (50+ groups) or enterprise restaurant/hospitality accounts, as well as direct contacts at Enterprise accounts
  • You have a proven track record of closing six-figure annual contracts with complex buying committees
  • You have a deep familiarity with the restaurant technology ecosystem - experience with POS, reservations, phone systems, or AI/voice platforms strongly preferred
  • You have comfort managing long-cycle deals (3-9 months) with multiple stakeholders and franchise structures
  • You have strong collaboration skills - you thrive partnering with Success, Product and Engineering, not operating in a silo
  • You will need access to an individual hardline high-speed internet connection in your workspace. This job cannot be performed using satellite internet or a mobile hotspot
What you'll get:
  • The base salary range for this role is $125,000 - $140,000 annually
  • This role is also eligible to earn uncapped quarterly incentive compensation (sales commissions)
  • Target annual compensation for this role is $250,000 - $280,000 which includes base salary and quarterly incentive compensation assuming minimum performance expectations are met
  • Effective your first day: Full medical, vision, and dental coverage
  • Mental health support and services via Modern Health
  • 15 days PTO (accrual begins on date of hire and increases with 2+ years of tenure thereafter), 7 paid wellness days, 12 paid holidays, plus one floating holiday
  • Up to 14 weeks of parental leave
  • Monthly wellness subsidy
  • Flexible spending account
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan
  • Employee stock purchase plan
  • Professional development reimbursement
  • Work from home reimbursement
