What is a remote inbound travel job?

Remote Inbound Travel jobs involve assisting clients with their travel needs—such as booking flights, hotels, and tours—while working from a remote location, typically from home. These roles often include customer service, itinerary planning, and providing travel advice via phone, email, or chat. Professionals in this field work for travel agencies, tour operators, or travel technology companies, and require strong communication skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of popular travel destinations. Remote inbound travel agents focus on handling incoming requests rather than making outbound sales calls. This career is ideal for those who want to work in the travel industry with the flexibility of remote work.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote inbound travel agent?

To thrive as a Remote Inbound Travel Agent, you typically need strong knowledge of travel products, customer service expertise, and proficiency in booking systems, often supported by a high school diploma or relevant travel certifications. Familiarity with global distribution systems (GDS) such as Amadeus or Sabre and online booking platforms is commonly required. Exceptional communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills help agents effectively assist clients and resolve travel-related issues. These skills ensure seamless travel arrangements, high customer satisfaction, and the ability to manage complex itineraries remotely.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals in remote inbound travel roles, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals in remote inbound travel roles often encounter challenges such as managing time zone differences, handling high volumes of inquiries during peak seasons, and maintaining effective communication with clients and partners remotely. To overcome these challenges, it's important to establish clear processes for prioritizing tasks, utilize digital collaboration tools, and proactively communicate with both customers and team members. Additionally, staying updated on travel regulations and leveraging customer relationship management (CRM) systems can help streamline workflow and enhance client satisfaction.

About Oryx

Oryx Dental Software is on a mission to modernize the way dental practices operate—with smarter workflows, built-in clinical intelligence, and a team that truly understands what dentists need because we were founded by dentists. As a profitable, fast-growing, and bootstrapped SaaS company, Oryx is redefining dental practice management for the better.

About the Role

The Inside Sales Account Executive is a critical driver of Oryx's continued growth, serving as the primary sales representative for inbound opportunities within our Established General Practice, Emerging DSO, and Pediatric Dentistry segments.

This is a quota-carrying role responsible for converting qualified inbound leads into long-term customers while delivering a best-in-class buying experience from initial inquiry through contract execution. You'll work closely with Marketing, Revenue Operations, Customer Success, and Product to ensure every prospective customer receives a thoughtful, consultative sales experience that highlights the full value of the Oryx platform.

The ideal candidate is highly consultative, responsive, and customer-focused. They thrive in a fast-paced SaaS environment, possess strong business acumen, and enjoy helping dental practices modernize the way they operate through technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed individual monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets as defined in the compensation plan.
  • Own the full inbound sales cycle from lead qualification and discovery through product demonstration, proposal, negotiation, and close.
  • Respond rapidly to inbound inquiries, demo requests, and high-intent leads generated through Marketing and Partnerships.
  • Conduct consultative discovery conversations to understand each practice's operational goals, clinical workflows, and business challenges.
  • Deliver compelling, customized product demonstrations that clearly articulate Oryx's value proposition and competitive differentiation.
  • Manage a healthy pipeline by maintaining accurate forecasting, opportunity progression, and CRM hygiene within HubSpot.
  • Partner closely with Marketing to optimize lead follow-up, improve conversion rates, and provide feedback on campaign quality and messaging.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure seamless customer handoffs following contract execution.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing customer relationships through upgrades and additional Oryx solutions when appropriate.
  • Provide ongoing market intelligence and customer feedback to Product, Marketing, and Revenue leadership.
  • Proactively identify and escalate customer concerns or deal risks to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
  • Represent Oryx professionally across all customer interactions and serve as a trusted advisor throughout the buying journey.
  • Travel periodically for company meetings, customer events, trade shows, and Oryx-hosted events as needed.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • 3–5+ years of quota-carrying experience in B2B SaaS sales, preferably selling into healthcare, dental, or adjacent industries.
  • Experience managing high-volume inbound sales opportunities and consistently converting marketing-qualified leads into customers.
  • Strong understanding of dental practice workflows and the challenges facing modern dental organizations is highly preferred.
  • Proven history of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a consultative sales environment.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to uncover customer needs, navigate complex buying processes, and communicate business value to multiple stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with excellent pipeline management and forecasting discipline.
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot (preferred) or Salesforce.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, coachable, and eager to contribute to a high-performance culture.

Why Oryx

  • Join one of the fastest-growing companies in dental technology and help redefine the future of practice management.
  • Work alongside an experienced leadership team that values innovation, accountability, and customer obsession.
  • Enjoy the autonomy and impact of a profitable, founder-led organization that moves quickly and invests in its people.
  • Be part of a collaborative culture where your ideas matter and your contributions directly influence the growth of the business.
  • Help thousands of dental practices deliver better patient care through modern, AI-powered technology.
