About the role:

As a Director - Canada APX Project Development you will guide WEC projects within the US industry customer base to develop, close, and maintain engagement of APX technology. This includes AP1000, AP300, and LDES related solutions while working with a team across the Global Market and Project Delivery teams. You will establish critical relationships with customers at multiple levels, from staff to Sr. Executive roles.

You will report to the Vice-President APX Project Development - North America and work remotely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • You will provide an important interface between our customers and WEC deliver / commercial teams and guide a focal point for commercial related engagements and priorities.
  • Industry Engagement / Customer relationships - Develop long-term relationships with customers, understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions that meet both technical and financial expectations. Work with global markets to understand customer organization and strategies. Maintain presence within the industry to be recognized as a trusted leader and expert on WEC APX technology.
  • Market Analysis / Forecasting - Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities. Track industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes that may affect sales strategies. Engage with senior management to report on sales activities, proposal status, and business development efforts. Provide accurate sales forecasts, and report on sales progress to senior leadership and update D365 accordingly
Qualifications:
  • B.S. in Engineering or B.S. in Business Management
  • Experience: 10+ years in Nuclear or Energy Industries
  • Knowledge of all Westinghouse products and services.
  • Knowledge of nuclear utility industry and regulatory environment.
  • Knowledge of global marketing principles and industry practices, strategic planning processes, negotiation approaches, commercial terms and conditions and contract administration.
  • Knowledge of Government State and Federal Customer work process and its internal cultures.
  • Understanding of business planning and processes.
  • Interpret industry, customer and competitor data and establish strategic marketing approaches.
  • Lead adoption of best practices.
  • Explain, advocate and align organization to strategies; and implement operational improvements and best practices.

It is a bona fide job requirement to be eligible and authorized to travel to the U.S. on Westinghouse business, and such travel is subject to the rules and regulations of the U.S. Department of Energy, as well as compliance with all applicable U.S. export laws and regulations.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $152,000 CAD to $190,000 CAD per year. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
