Brown & Buchanan Ventures Co. is a growing, veteran-owned hospitality company operating Grand Welcome vacation rental franchises across multiple states. We're looking for an experienced HR Generalist who enjoys creating structure, solving problems, and helping both employees and leaders succeed.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to own the day-to-day HR function while partnering directly with executive leadership to improve processes, support managers, and build a great employee experience.

What You'll Do
You'll oversee the day-to-day Human Resources functions across multiple states, including:
- Lead full-cycle recruiting and onboardingย
- Partner with managers on employee relations and performance managementย
- Administer employee benefits and leave programsย
- Support payroll processingย
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment lawsย
- Manage HRIS records and employee documentationย
- Develop and improve HR processes, policies, and SOPsย
- Support employee engagement initiatives, training improvement, and company cultureย
- Help provide guidance to managers on routine employee mattersย
You'll work closely with our Chief of Staff, who oversees the company's people strategy, executive coaching, and complex employment matters.

We're looking for someone who brings sound judgment, strong organization, and the confidence to operate independently.
Required
- 2+ years of progressive Human Resources experienceย
- Experience supporting employees across multiple statesย
- Remote recruitment experience
- Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practicesย
- Experience administering benefits, leave programs, and employee relationsย
- Experience with payroll and HRIS platformsย
- Excellent written and verbal communication skillsย
- Exceptional organization and attention to detailย
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentย
Preferred
- Professional proficiency in Spanishย
- Experience supporting remote teamsย
- California employment law experienceย
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certificationย
- Hospitality or multi-location business experienceย
- Reside in the Central or Mountain Time Zoneย
