Launch your technology career with Transport Enterprise Leasing, LLC (TEL) as a Quality Assurance Analyst I. In this entry-level role, you’ll help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of the applications, integrations, reports, and data solutions that keep our business moving.
This is an 18-month project hire created to support TEL’s continued growth and the implementation of a new system. It is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience, build technical skills, and contribute to meaningful work that has a direct impact on the business. To recognize the value of this assignment, the role also includes a completion bonus equal to 15% of base salary, paid at the end of the 18-month term.
If you’re detail-oriented, curious, and excited to learn how technology supports real-world operations, this is your opportunity to build a strong foundation while working alongside experienced developers, analysts, and business partners.
What You’ll Do
  • Partner with developers, business analysts, and business users to understand requirements and identify effective test scenarios.
  • Create and execute test cases and test scripts for applications, integrations, reports, enhancements, and fixes with guidance from senior team members.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and basic end-to-end testing to confirm usability, system behavior, and data accuracy.
  • Identify, document, and track defects, and test results clearly, tracking them through resolution using approved tools and processes.
  • Retest resolved issues and run regression checks to make sure updates don’t negatively impact existing functionality.
  • Support release validation and user acceptance testing to help ensure delivered solutions meet business needs and are ready for production.
  • Maintain test data, documentation, and quality records throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Communicate testing risks, quality concerns, and project issues to the right team members so work stays on track.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors on select projects while learning TEL’s systems, tools, and standards.
  • Continuously grow your technical skills and contribute ideas that improve processes, quality, and service.
  • Build awareness of AI-assisted testing tools and learn to use them responsibly, ensuring all AI-generated test cases and analysis are reviewed, validated, and guided by sound judgement before use.
What You’ll Bring
  • Foundational understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) concepts and quality assurance principles.
  • Ability to write clear test cases, follow test steps, document issues accurately, and maintain testing documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting, reasoning, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organization, time management, and follow-through with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently when needed and eagerness to learn new systems, tools, and processes.
  • A commitment to protecting confidential information and supporting quality with integrity.
Education amp; Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred; equivalent training, certification, or relevant practical experience may be considered.
  • We will accept military service in lieu of a two-year college degree.
  • Entry-level experience through internships, coursework, academic projects, or early professional experience related to software testing, quality assurance, business systems, or technology support.
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies, test management or defect tracking tools, GitHub or other collaboration tools, SQL, APIs, spreadsheets, data validation, and simple scripting is preferred.
  • Exposure to testing or supporting web applications, integrations, reports, or business systems through school, internships, or previous work experience is a plus.
  • Interest in transportation, leasing, financial services, or other operationally complex business environments is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and the ability to apply them responsibly; including understanding of prompt basics, awareness of AI output limitations, and commitment to human review of AI-generated code and content.
