Full-time

Posted 26 days ago

Job description

Come join our passionate team! Barracuda is a leading cybersecurity company providing complete protection against complex threats. Our platform protects email, data, applications, and networks with innovative solutions, and a managed XDR service, to strengthen cyber resilience. Hundreds of thousands of IT professionals and managed service providers worldwide trust us to protect and support them with solutions that are easy to buy, deploy, and use.

We are committed to a candidate selection process and work environment that is inclusive and barrier free. To ensure candidates are assessed in a fair and equitable manner, accommodations will be provided to prospective employees in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Ontario Human Rights Code.

Envision yourself at Barracuda
Barracuda Networks, Inc. is looking for a sharp, systems-minded specialist to work hands-on across AEO/GEO/SEO initiatives for Barracuda.com. In this role, you will drive measurable visibility, citations, and demand across both LLM-driven and traditional search experiences. You will be responsible for translating the rapidly changing generative search landscape into clear, actionable steps and directly executing optimizations within the CMS (AEM).
You will partner cross-functionally to improve owned assets so that search and generative engines can effectively understand, select, rank, and cite our content. Additionally, you will track and report on performance, identifying opportunities and continuously refining strategy based on results. We are open to considering candidates from other parts of the US, but the Eastern Standard time zone is preferred

What youโ€™ll be working on
  • Drive the AEO/GEO/SEO strategy for Barracuda.com, auditing, prioritizing, and editing owned assets across product, solutions, glossary, comparison, and other high-value pages
  • Develop GEO/SEO optimization plans and deliver reporting and insights that clearly explain what changed, what worked, and whatโ€™s next
  • Identify cross-channel opportunities (content, PR, brand, paid) to strengthen generative and SEO visibility
  • Improve internal workflows, templates, and QA standards to scale optimization efforts
  • Interpret performance, build stakeholder buy-in, and help define strategy in an evolving GEO landscape
Strategy and Communication
  • Explain how LLMs work (retrieval, ranking/selection behaviors, grounding/citations, reasoning limits) in a clear, non-jargony way to drive team alignment and recommendations
  • Set and defend strategic direction: what to build, what to fix, what to measure, and why, with clear linkage to SEO/GEO KPIs
  • Operate as a trusted advisor by leading conversations, aligning stakeholders, and communicating wins and risks
Influence & Execution Using Owned Assets
  • Improve visibility of product, solution, and key site pages to close buyer journey gaps (use-case clarity, objections, proof, comparisons, FAQs, supporting entities)
  • Recommend and collaborate on structured data, taxonomy, internal linking, and content architecture to strengthen entity associations and retrieval-ready coverage
Measurement, Learning, and Adaptation
  • Track performance across SEO/GEO metrics (visibility, citation/carry-through, prompt coverage, conversion contribution) and translate into next actions
  • Monitor changes in Claude/ChatGPT behavior, AI Mode, and model updates, and adapt recommendations quickly
What you bring to the role
  • Strong understanding of modern search & LLM ecosystems: including how โ€œanswersโ€ get formed and when citations appear
  • Solid technical SEO fundamentals: crawling/indexation, internal linking, structured data, canonicals
  • Strong proficiency using AI tools: ChatGPT, Profound, and agentic environments to accelerate research, mapping, and content systems while maintaining quality control
  • SEO tool mastery: SEMrush, GA4, ScreamingFrog, Adobe Target, PowerBi and Search Console for topical research, clustering and reporting
  • Demonstrated experience influencing outcomes through owned content/IA optimization
  • 3-4 years of experience in prior SEO roles at a senior level. Able to demonstrate GEO skills with concrete examples
What youโ€™ll get from us
A team where you can voice your opinion, make an impact, and where you and your experience are valued. Internal mobility โ€“ there are opportunities for cross training and the ability to attain your next career step within Barracuda. In addition, you will receive equity, in the form of non-qualifying options

The anticipated on-target earnings range for this role is 87,000 CAD - 116,000 CAD. Actual compensation offered will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, the budget for the position, and applicable employment laws.
