Job description

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an RELEASE MANAGER for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier HOSPITALITY clients in DALLAS, TX .
Job Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking global technology team at the forefront of hospitality innovation. In this role, you will play a critical part in planning, implementing, and delivering technology initiatives across core renovation, technology platforms, and strategic internal partnerships. You will own the end-to-end software delivery and release process, build trusted relationships across the organization, and drive meaningful improvements to processes and workflows. Working within a dynamic, fast-paced environment, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery that supports continued global growth and innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Follow an Agile delivery methodology to ensure consistent delivery of projects and deliverables
- Plan, schedule, and manage end-to-end release schedules and activities
- Collaborate with partner teams and stakeholders to align on delivery schedules and timelines
- Coordinate with Architecture, QA, DevOps, and Operations teams for release execution and implementation
- Conduct release retrospectives and root cause analyses (RCAs) and track progress toward resolution
- Maintain release calendars and communicate timelines, risks, and status updates to relevant parties
- Identify and mitigate risks that may impact release quality or timelines
- Participate in broader Software Engineering activities including process definition and improvement, reporting, interviewing, training, staffing, demand intake, estimation, initiation, and planning
- Maintain accurate delivery data in project management and collaboration tools
- Update release and services artifacts following each release
- Manage workflow, ensure the quality of work, and streamline departmental procedures where applicable
Skills:
- Strong proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Stash and GitLab
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and principles
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks that may affect release quality or delivery timelines
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across global teams
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a Release or Delivery Management role utilizing Agile methodology
- 3+ years of professional work experience in Technology or a related field
- Demonstrated experience conducting Release Retrospectives and RCAs and tracking progress on resolution
- Experience updating services and release documentation
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time as required
- Availability to work on global projects across multiple offices or remote locations
