Better Selves Therapy, Ltd. is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our compassionate team in a remote hospice center environment. • Conduct one-on-one and group therapy sessions tailored to the needs of diverse patients, optimizing therapeutic interventions to improve mental health outcomes.
• Perform comprehensive mental health evaluations and crisis interventions to assist clients in moments of emotional distress, ensuring they have the resources they need.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with each client's unique needs, preferences, and situations, continually reassessing as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR), documenting interactions and treatment progress to ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Participate in regular team meetings and case conferences, collaborating with multidisciplinary team members to enhance patient support strategies.
• Provide guidance and education to patients and their families about coping mechanisms, resources, and therapeutic exercises to facilitate emotional resilience during challenging times.

Your expertise will focus on patients experiencing terminal illnesses and their families, navigating the complexities of hospice care. This role demands empathy, cultural sensitivity, and an understanding of the specific challenges faced by individuals in these scenarios. You will work directly with clients in need of emotional support, as well as facilitate family discussions around care planning and bereavement issues.

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A valid LCSW license in California is mandatory, demonstrating your proven expertise and commitment to social work standards.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting, particularly with hospice, palliative care, or mental health.
• Expertise in using electronic health records and a familiarity with various therapeutic modalities.

• Experience working within hospice care, providing emotional and mental support to patients and families.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles and their application in therapeutic settings.
• Experience in crisis intervention and navigating complex ethical dilemmas in end-of-life care.
