• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to analyze the emotional and mental health needs of patients and their families.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that focus on coping strategies and adjustment to health changes, ensuring alignment with the patient's values and preferences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to managing anxiety, depression, and bereavement in hospice settings.

• Maintain accurate, confidential clinical records in compliance with regulations and organizational standards.

• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive, holistic care.

• Educate patients and families about available resources and support services, facilitating access to necessary care options.

• Continuously engage in professional development by staying updated on best practices in mental health and hospice care.

In this role, you will work primarily with terminally ill patients and their families, offering support during a critical time in their lives. Your contributions will help alleviate emotional distress and improve the overall quality of life for both patients and caregivers. By focusing on trauma-informed care, you will address the varied and unique emotional responses that arise in end-of-life scenarios, facilitating comfort and understanding during difficult transitions.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

• A valid LCSW license to practice in the state of Nevada is essential.

• A minimum of 2 years of direct clinical experience, particularly in a hospice, palliative, or mental health setting.

• Expertise in solution-focused and strength-based psychotherapy interventions.

• Experience dealing with grief and loss, along with a solid understanding of family dynamics in palliative care.

• Proven ability to work in collaborative, interdisciplinary teams.

• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and colleagues.
