Job description

Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) – Making Every Moment Matter

As a Hospice RN, you will play a vital role in enhancing quality of life for patients and supporting families during some of their most important moments. Working alongside a dedicated interdisciplinary team, you'll deliver compassionate care that brings comfort, dignity, and peace. This field-based position supports both our Lancaster and Newark offices and requires travel to patient homes and care facilities throughout the Lancaster and Newark service region.

Schedule:

  • Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Rotating weekend commitment (approximately every six weeks)
  • Participation in a holiday rotation
  • Regular travel between the Lancaster and Newark service areas

Qualifications of this role:

  • Registered nurse in good standings (no board actions)
  • Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) certification preferred. Ohio's Hospice supports professional growth and offers opportunities for eligible employees to obtain certification.
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Strong clinical skills in pain and symptom management, patient assessment, and care planning.
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to accurately document patient care and services in electronic medical records.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license with a safe driving record and proof of auto insurance.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and 10 panel drug screening.
