AMSG is seeking a Sr Program Analystย to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and provide strategic foresight supportย by identifying emerging trends, future risks, scenario development, horizon scanning, systems analysis, long-range strategic planning,ย andย other opportunities that may influence homeland security missions.ย

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in strategic studies, public policy, international affairs, engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in strategic planning, futures analysis, or policy development.
  • Experience applying foresight methodologies and scenario planning.
  • Excellent written communication and executive presentation skills.
  • Secret clearance required.
  • Strong analytical and research capabilities.
  • Citizenship: US

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct trend analysis and horizon scanning.
  • Monitor emerging technologies, geopolitical developments, and risk indicators.
  • Develop future scenarios and strategic forecasts.
  • Facilitate foresight workshops and stakeholder engagements.
  • Apply systems thinking methodologies to complex mission environments.
  • Identify operational impacts of future trends.
  • Develop indicators to assess future developments and scenario validity.
  • Integrate foresight findings into planning and decision-making processes.
  • Produce executive briefings, strategic recommendations, and analytical reports.
  • Support visioning and backcasting activities to align future objectives with current actions. ย 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting DHS, DoD, or other national security organizations.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies, AI, cybersecurity, and homeland security mission areas.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, and advanced data visualization tools.
