• Conduct initial assessment interviews with clients to thoroughly understand their mental health conditions, challenges, and goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address clients' specific needs, including their mental health disorders and personal recovery objectives.
• Provide ongoing therapy sessions, both individual and group, utilizing evidence-based techniques and culturally responsive practices.
• Monitor and evaluate clients’ progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary, and providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
• Assist clients in developing coping strategies and life skills that promote resilience and improved mental health outcomes.
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals or support services as needed, such as psychiatrists or substance abuse counselors.

Your practice will encompass a diverse range of clients experiencing various mental health issues, including but not limited to depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and substance abuse challenges. You will engage with individuals from differing backgrounds and life experiences, focusing on culturally competent care that respects and acknowledges each client's unique circumstances.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Maryland.
• A minimum of four years of direct experience in mental health counseling, demonstrating a strong foundation in therapeutic techniques and client engagement.
• Expertise in recognizing and treating a variety of mental health disorders, with a solid understanding of evidence-based treatment approaches.
• Proven crisis intervention skills and the ability to maintain composure in challenging situations, ensuring client safety and trust.

• Experience in conducting both individual and group therapy, employing psychotherapeutic approaches that are inclusive and culturally aware.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in standard computer applications.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to form meaningful connections with a diverse client population.

The compensation for this position ranges from $70,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
