Withum's Healthcare Advisory Services practice is seeking a Financial Services Senior Manager to join our team in our East Brunswick, NJ; Red Bank, NJ; Princeton, NJ; Whippany, NJ; New York, NY; Buffalo, NY; Rochester or Batavia, NY office. This role will be a hybrid-based position. How You'll Spend Your Time:
  • Leading healthcare finance and accounting advisory engagements from assessment through implementation.
  • Serving as a trusted advisor to healthcare executives, delivering actionable insights to drive performance, profitability, and growth.
  • Assessing current-state finance processes, controls, and systems to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Designing and implementing future-state finance functions aligned with leading practices (e.g., close optimization, standardization, system integration).
  • Addressing client challenges across financial close, revenue recognition, FP&A, treasury, and finance operations.
  • Performing financial and operational analyses, including benchmarking, forecasting, and economic assessments.
  • Evaluating financial models, assumptions, and strategic initiatives to support effective decision-making.
  • Delivering high-quality client service by proactively managing issues, timelines, and engagement outcomes.
  • Supporting engagements including financial planning, feasibility studies, due diligence, and strategic assessments.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships that drive repeat business and growth opportunities.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing consulting teams through coaching, feedback, and performance management.
  • Contributing to practice growth and staying current on healthcare trends, regulatory requirements, and accounting standards.

The Kinds of People We Want to Talk to Have Many of The Following:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required; master's degree preferred
  • CPA preferred but not required
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting & finance experience, including leadership and review responsibilities.
  • Healthcare experience required.
  • Demonstrated client service experience (outsourced accounting, advisory, public accounting, or consulting) with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development to stay ahead of changes in accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, collaborate cross-functionally, and build trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with Power BI, Copilot/ChatGPT, other AI related technologies a plus.
  • Flexibility and ability to travel to client locations - approximately 25%. (Required for hybrid and remote candidates).
