Due to continued growth, we are hiring for a Head of Sales at M3MI, an M3 company.

About the Business Unit: 

M3 MI serves the consumer and professional health market with industry-leading syndicated survey data and insights covering patient and HCP attitudes, behaviors and media consumption, and HCP advertising intelligence, to help clients better understand their customers and make informed marketing decisions.

M3 MI’s clients include pharma, medical device and hospital advertisers, their ad agencies and the digital and traditional media channels they work with.  We support clients in marketing, advertising creative, strategy and media planning, media research and sales, and many other roles that rely on M3 MI data to succeed in their jobs.

Job Description

The Head of Sales will serve as the strategic commercial leader of M3MI, driving revenue growth, market expansion, and client engagement. The Head of Sales will have overall responsibility for the company’s global sales strategy and performance, leading sales management efforts to accelerate new business development and expand key accounts.

This executive will serve as the primary commercial representative of the company, engaging with communication agencies, medical publishers, pharmaceutical and life sciences clients to demonstrate the value of M3MI’s industry-leading products – MARS Consumer, Professional Health & Ad Intelligence – in delivering best-in-class data, platforms and actionable insights to support healthcare product commercialisation and communication campaign planning.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sales Leadership

• Develop and execute M3MI’s commercial vision and revenue growth strategy, ensuring alignment with market opportunities in the healthcare communication and life sciences industries.
• Identify and prioritise high-value market segments, therapeutic areas, and client targets to drive sustained sales growth.
• Establish clear sales objectives, KPIs, and performance standards for the M3MI Sales Teamto ensure consistent achievement of revenue targets.
• Build a high-performance, results-driven sales culture focused on accountability, client impact, and growth.

Sales Management

• Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue growth targets and expand M3MI’s client base
• Direct, mentor, and scale the sales team to maximise productivity, pipeline development, and conversion rates.
• Actively cultivate and strengthen executive-level relationships with key communication agencies, publishers and life sciences stakeholders.
• Drive proactive business development efforts by leveraging personal industry contacts, networking, and strategic partnerships.
• Oversee pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and sales performance reporting to ensure predictable revenue outcomes.
• Partner with internal subject matter experts to develop compelling, customised proposals that address client business challenges and differentiate M3MI in competitive situations.

Client Engagement & Growth

• Serve as the senior commercial liaison with clients, leading strategic discussions, negotiations, and contract closures.
• Represent M3MI at high-level client meetings, industry conferences, and external forums to promote the company’s platforms and thought leadership.
• Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within existing accounts to drive account expansion and long-term partnerships.
• Continuously assess evolving client needs and competitive dynamics to refine value propositions and strengthen client retention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
• Minimum 15+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry, with significant exposure to market research, healthcare communication, and analytics.
• Proven experience leading business development teams and achieving significant revenue growth.
• Deep understanding of drug development, business commercialisation, and marketing processes in the biopharmaceutical sector.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills, with a track record of influencing senior executives.
