What is a remote growth designer?

A Remote Growth Designer is a creative professional who focuses on designing and optimizing digital products or marketing assets to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention, while working remotely. They combine skills in user experience (UX), visual design, and data analysis to create solutions that support business growth objectives. Remote Growth Designers work closely with marketing, product, and development teams, leveraging A/B testing, user feedback, and analytics to continuously improve design effectiveness. Their role is crucial in helping organizations expand their customer base and enhance user satisfaction from a distance.

How does a remote growth designer typically collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive user engagement?

A Remote Growth Designer works closely with product managers, marketers, developers, and data analysts to identify opportunities for user acquisition and retention. Collaboration often happens through virtual meetings, shared design platforms, and project management tools, ensuring all team members are aligned on goals and strategies. The designer contributes by creating and testing UI/UX solutions, analyzing user feedback, and iterating designs based on performance data. Effective communication and adaptability are key, as the remote setup requires proactive coordination across different time zones and disciplines.

To thrive as a Remote Growth Designer, you need a strong background in UX/UI design, product strategy, and data-driven decision making, often supported by a relevant degree or portfolio of growth-focused projects. Proficiency with design tools like Figma or Sketch, analytics platforms such as Google Analytics or Mixpanel, and A/B testing software is typically required. Exceptional communication, collaboration, and self-motivation are crucial soft skills for remote work and cross-functional teamwork. Join Chandler Bolt and selfpublishing.com to own the visual identity of our brand across every touchpoint, from YouTube thumbnails that get the click to the landing pages that get the sale. Your focus is clear: Be the design engine behind our content, our funnels, and our brand, bringing a sharp visual and storytelling instincts.
Your Mission & Results
  • Content Graphics: Produce YouTube thumbnails and Instagram carousels that don't just fit the brand, but raise the bar on what our brand looks like.
  • Digital Design: Design and improve landing pages, blog post pages, and website elements that convert visitors into leads and customers.
  • Presentation Design: Build speaker slides and presentation decks for Chandler and the team that look sharp on stage and hold an audience's attention.
  • Storytelling & Copy: Bring strong visual storytelling and copywriting instincts to every asset, thumbnails and carousels should sell a moment, not just look nice.
  • Brand Consistency: Keep every graphic, page, and asset on-brand, polished, and aligned with our visual identity across channels.
  • Design Ops: Manage multiple design requests at once, prioritize based on impact, and turn drafts around quickly without sacrificing quality.
  • Goal: Elevate every touchpoint, from a thumbnail to a keynote slide, so our visuals actively build trust and drive action, not just check a box.

What You Bring
  • 4+ years of design experience, with real examples of thumbnails, carousels, and web or landing pages you've built and demonstrably improved.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, and a web design tool (Webflow, Figma, or similar).
