The Opportunity:
The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst partners with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements, support data product development, and deliver actionable insights. This role bridges project-based analysis and strategic insight generation, ensuring data quality, governance, and usability-particularly for Debit and Credit data.
Day In The Life:
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather and translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Analyze and prepare requirements documentation including but not limited to: Defining business functional requirements, business rules, data definitions, data transformations, end user reporting, and semantic layers.
  • Provide input into the design, development and maintenance of BI solutions, semantic layers, and data products.
  • Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, profile and validate data, and generate insights for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Data Science to develop models and advanced analytics.
  • Promote data governance, quality standards, and consistent data definitions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and data authority for multiple data domains and strategic initiatives.
  • Deliver consultative insights to stakeholders to support data-driven decisions.
  • Maintain data definitions, metadata, and lineage documentation.
  • Enforce data governance standards and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Lead efforts in identifying and resolving data quality issues.
  • Serve as the point person for any data issues that arise, determine the root cause of the issue and determine the path to resolution
  • Lead stakeholder meetings and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across business units and external partners.
  • Lead training sessions at user forums, governed data sources, and tools, and contribute to user education materials.
  • Manage multiple priorities and deal effectively with senior management, staff members, clients, and vendors including doing in-person or virtual presentations
  • Act as a consultant on data best practices, architecture, and process improvement.
  • Deliver consultative insights to stakeholders to support data-driven decisions.
  • Provide coaching/mentoring and reviewing the work of team members ensuring processes are followed appropriately
  • Manage the processes for the loading of data
  • Drive process improvement for all data quality core processes to execute with simplicity, speed, quality and efficiency
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills and the ability to negotiate with and influence others
  • Must be able to take the lead and work independently to drive projects forward.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Business Intelligence, or a related quantitative discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Master's degree in Information Systems, Data Science, or Business Administration is preferred.
  • Relevant industry and technical certifications are a plus.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a Business Intelligence or Business Analyst role, with a focus on data analysis, trend identification, and insight delivery, or a proven track record of expertise.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the payments industry .
  • Minimum 2 years of project management experience including leading cross-functional initiatives and managing timelines and deliverables.
  • Advanced proficiency in BI tools, with Strategy preferred.(e.g., SAP Business Objects, Tableau, Power BI, Qlik), including experience with building reports, dashboards and visualizations.
  • 5+ years writing SQL queries, proficiency in Python a plus
  • At least 3 years in project management or business consulting, translating business needs into data solutions.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar tooling
  • Practical understanding of Agile methodology
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with other teams and senior leadership
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement, consensus building, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Understanding of machine learning concepts and data architecture.
  • Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and the payments industry.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and adaptable to changing priorities.
