Job description

Position Summary

This role is for a high-performing Business Intelligence professional who already knows wealth management and knows data—and wants to operate where the two truly meet.

The Business Intelligence Analyst plays a critical role in transforming complex wealth management data into trusted, actionable insights used by leaders and teams across the firm. This is not a “dashboard-only” BI role. You’ll sit close to the business, influence how data is structured upstream, and help shape how decisions are made across Advisory, Finance, Marketing, Sales, and beyond.

If you’re someone who never wants to be bored, thrives in a highly collaborative environment, and wants your work to directly impact the firm’s operating model—this role was built for you.

The Business Intelligence Analyst can expect to focus in the following areas:
  • Designing, developing, and supporting Power BI dashboards, reports, and datasets used by Executive Leadership and crossfunctional teams
  • Analyzing wealth management and financial services data to surface insights that support strategic, financial, and operational decisions
  • Partnering closely with internal stakeholders, technology teams, and offshore analytics partners to deliver accurate, scalable analytics solutions
  • Managing analytics work as projects—gathering requirements, defining scope, coordinating timelines, and ensuring outcomes meet business needs
  • Conducting adhoc analysis and clearly communicating findings to both technical and nontechnical audiences
  • Validating data accuracy by auditing warehouse outputs against source systems
  • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, AIassisted analytics, and modern BI tooling
  • Supporting data governance, documentation, and reporting standards as the BI function continues to mature

A couple things to note about this position:
  • Wealth management experience and BI/data analytics experience are both required—this intersection is critical to success in the role.
  • Position Location: Rockford, IL; Madison, WI; or Chicago, IL (preference for proximity to Rockford/Madison).
  • Workdays are rarely the same; the role offers broad exposure, continuous learning, and evolving challenges.
  • You’ll work in a highly collaborative, “writer’s room” style environment—problems are brought to the table and solved together.
  • The role may be scoped more senior for the right candidate, based on experience and impact
The Business Intelligence Analyst position typically requires the following qualifications:
  • 2+ years of professional experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Analytics Engineering and 2+ years of professional experience in wealth management, investment management, financial services, banking, or a related financial industry.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (dashboards, reports, semantic models).
  • Experience working with enterprise data warehouses and structured analytics datasets.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data validation across source systems and reporting layer.
  • Demonstrated ability to support multiple stakeholders and departments simultaneously.
  • Experience managing analytics work in a project-based environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain data insights.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehousing)
  • Experience working with offshore or remote analytics teams
  • Familiarity with regulated or audit-sensitive environments
  • Exposure to automation, AI-enabled analytics, or advanced BI workflows
  • Experience supporting executive-level reporting and KPI dashboards
