Overview
Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Remote Genetic Counselors to provide Telehealth services to eligible beneficiaries of the VA Genomic Medicine Program nationwide. Shift scheduling is generally Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with no call of or off-hours coverage. Responsibilities
  • Provide independent genetic counseling services to Veterans and families.
  • Review medical records and perform hereditary risk assessments.
  • Obtain personal, medical, environmental, and family histories.
  • Educate patients on inheritance patterns, recurrence risks, screening options, and disease prevention.
  • Recommend and order appropriate genetic testing.
  • Interpret and communicate genetic test results.
  • Document all clinical activities in the electronic medical record.
  • Collaborate with providers, colleagues, and laboratories.
  • Develop educational materials and support genetic counseling program initiatives.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and meetings.
Qualifications
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible:
    • Genetic Counselor: American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC)
  • Active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
  • No history of suspended, revoked, restricted, or surrendered professional licenses.
  • Active AHA BLS
  • NPI report printout
  • Active DEA license
  • Must be able to pass a federal background investigation

All candidates must be able to:
  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
