Job Title: Software Engineering Manager
Location: Remote - US
Compensation: $130,000 - 160,000 + Bonus Eligible

  • MOSA.ic: LYNX MOSA.icâ„¢ is a modular software framework and architecture purpose-built for mission-critical edge computing. Based on the Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA), it provides a flexible foundation for building secure, scalable, and certifiable edge systems.
  • LYNX MOSA.ic.AI: LYNX MOSA.ic.AI is a unified CPU and GPU software platform that enables deterministic, certifiable deployment of AI and advanced workloads in mission-critical edge systems. Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Direct and mentor a cross-functional team of software engineers and contractors. You are responsible for career growth, performance management, and resource allocation.
  • Project Execution: Own the delivery lifecycle for OS features. You'll manage timelines, risks, and dependencies, ensuring that "moving fast" never comes at the expense of "moving safely."
  • Contractor Management: Oversee external partners and contractors, ensuring their deliverables meet Lynx's high standards for code quality and architectural integrity.
  • Safety & Compliance: Work closely with the Certification and QA teams to ensure all development processes align with industry standards such as DO-178C.

Requirements:
  • 7+ years in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a management role.
  • The ability to translate complex technical hurdles into clear project status updates for stakeholders.
  • Deep expertise in SCRUM/Agile. You know how to make Agile work in environments where "breaking things" isn't an option.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field preferred.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Highly desired additional experience:
  • Exposure to safety-critical development processes (DO-178C, ISO 26262).
  • Experience developing systems-level software, including virtualization, OS kernels, or hypervisors for x86/ARM.
