A remote forensic accounting internship is a temporary, supervised work experience where interns support forensic accountants in investigating financial discrepancies, fraud, or legal disputes—all conducted online rather than in-person. Interns typically analyze financial records, assist in preparing reports, and may help gather evidence for legal cases. This remote role allows interns to gain valuable skills and industry insight from anywhere, using digital collaboration tools and secure data platforms. Such internships are ideal for students or recent graduates seeking hands-on experience in forensic accounting without geographic limitations.

As a remote forensic accounting intern, you can expect to assist with a range of projects such as analyzing financial records for signs of fraud, supporting litigation cases by preparing financial exhibits, and conducting asset tracing. You may help gather and review evidence, prepare reports, and collaborate virtually with senior forensic accountants or legal teams. The variety of cases can include corporate embezzlement, insurance claims, and financial statement misrepresentation, giving you hands-on exposure to real-world forensic investigations.
